Re: Simplexx 15 Subwoofer

Liking the unpainted ports. It reminds me of my own builds - you get that moment when you realise that you should have painted them about 5 steps ago! :wall: Still, they are out of sight so no real issues  Haha.....yeah..... I'm betting it won't see too much time upside down. There's even ...

Re: Simplexx 15 Subwoofer

Total build time.....hmm. If my shop were more organized where I could find ANYTHING, probably half the time it actually took. So for the 2nd one I build I'll estimate: 4 solid hours to clean and organize the shop  Then 2-3 hours per evening for four evenings. I'd say I'm going to be on the l...

Simplexx 15 Subwoofer

Built a 15" Simplexx Sub to complement my pairs of 4x6 SLA Pros and Wedgehorn 8's. Driver used is a Eminence Kappalite 3015LF. I'll be powering my system with a single Behringer NU4-6000 amp which is about 300W RMS on 4 channels. Right now running a stereo main feed, mono sub, and single monito...

Re: Setting limiter on digital mixers.

So just to be ready to gig these on Saturday, I just cranked it all the way up to full clip on the mixer and lowered the amp attenuator until it read 20V on the output. (halfway down and two more detents) I'm still intrigued by the math behind it all, but I'm so steeped in theory that I won't set th...

Setting limiter on digital mixers.

I don't know if this is more mixer related or amp related, but here goes... So I did all the math today and figured I needed to limit my Wedgehorns at around -8db, or so I thought. I'm running an Behringer X32 Rack through an iNuke NU4-6000 4-channel amp. It thought it was 300W/ch, but when I actual...

Re: DEQ2496 AutoEQ issues

Maybe it's from my air handler running down there. I could cut off the A/C for a bit, but it's been sweltering here. I guess outside would work too.

Re: DEQ2496 AutoEQ issues

That's what I've been doing...getting it to this point and then manually trimming the offending frequencies. I have an X32 as well (Rack version) so I'll probably just approximate the settings from the DEQ to that. Its nice that the X32 has an RTA on it now, hopefully they'll provide an autoeq funct...

DEQ2496 AutoEQ issues

Anyone else ever have this issue? Target curve set flat, no background noise to speak of. It adjusts everything but won't touch the frequencies around 5k. They are activated to be changed, but the eq remains unchanged.
