Re: T18 in a truck cab
Kind of late to the party here, but years ago I squeezed a T18 in the trunk of my Subaru Legacy (sedan) for the fun of it. It DEFINITELY needed EQ to sound good and I vaguely recall it being very boomy in the upper bass frequencies (60-100hz). It could probably be good with tuning, but it was simila...

Re: THT with other subs
I did it in the past with a Table Tuba and a T18. However, I had to use a measurement mic and lots of trial and error on my DSP to get it right because you can actually have less bass if it's wrong. A lot of the work was finding the right delay since the two subs had different horn lengths, but once...

**SOLD** FS: 4 OmniTop 12's w/ 3012HO drivers
Selling four OmniTop 12's. I originally built these for a church where they were in use for about 2 years. They built a much larger building and went with line arrays, so I bought these OTops from them. They work great and are still in excellent condition. There are 3 removable attachment points on ...

Re: Buying T48s
It sounds like those are the older style (which are fine), but the price sounds steep to me considering they're not complete (missing mouth braces). It's hard to tell what other steps were skipped.

Re: Age old question: 15" or 12" for THT?
Shawn. I have 20 Hz extension on my 12" thtlp aswell. Minimum width. With my tiny 50w board amp, I can sweep about 110 dB at 20 Hz. Oh nice, that looks great. I haven't purchased anything yet because I haven't had much free time (my kids play baseball and soccer). I was kind of set on going 15...

Re: Age old question: 15" or 12" for THT?
I have 15s in my 24x36x36 THTs in a huge open basement. Here's my before and after sweeps in REW: That purple line looks reeaaallll nice. The T39's I've been using are nearly flat down to 30hz, but they drop like a rock below that. I can get my Table Tuba down in the low 20's, but it's just not ver...

Thanks for the info, that make sense. I'll do some measuring tonight and plan to go as wide as I can get away with.

Age old question: 15" or 12" for THT?
I recently completed construction on my new family room/home theater (roughly 30'x18') and always told myself I'd build two THTLP's when it was done. For the time being, I have two max width, Lab 12 loaded T39's in the room and they've been great, but obviously not designed for home theater and drop...

Looks great (the sub that is). Just kidding, you look great too Tom.
I'm planning on building a pair of THTLP's before long. It's always surprising to see how large they are in comparison to other objects.

Re: TTLS
Do you happen to have an old A/V receiver laying around? I power my dual loaded TT with one and it works fine since these things don't need much power, plus I can leave it on a rack in the TV stand and adjust volume with the remote.

Re: Tuba 18 Queries
I've built two T18's and they sound decent for their size. If you have space for a Table Tuba, it's way louder and goes much lower.

My go to is Rage Against The Machine - Bombtrack. I'm not a huge RATM fan, but that whole album is mastered so well and the kick sounds amazing.

Looks great man. I really want to build a few of these. Love my Table Tuba, but I need more
