Re: Testing a DR250 and 4 Subs during high school lunch!
It's not that I don't think that BFM makes good designs (I built the DR250...), I just happen to think that they are not the only options. You are right of course. I think some folks forget this as you see this kind of "brand loyalty" on every forum on the net. I like bills designs and do...

Re: Table Tuba LS Build
Also getting some sort of distortions below 25hz that cause this range to sound higher than a 30hz tone though I found this was reduced by placing the driver access side to the floor. Yes, although there is no access panel, you still need to have the open driver area 1.5" to 2" from the w...

Re: Dual Loaded Table Tuba by a Teenager
Thanks for the help. I spent all last night searching and reading but to no avail. I guess I didn't use the magic words :? So that is 4 for the driver + 2 for a single loaded cab = 6. Divide by 2 when I wire 2 TTs together and I get a 3 Ohm load. Is it OK to be showing such a low Ohm load to the amp...

Re: Dual Loaded Table Tuba by a Teenager
I wired up the subs today, I wired them in parallel so once in the cab the total impedance will be around 3-4 ohms. This is how I wired them, did I do it correctly? Just double checking as I don't want fried amps or voice coils. http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd439/bassmonster14/subwiring001.j...

Re: TTLS To Help Out TT
Thanks NCDaveD for your trial and error experience. Hopefully it will enable some of us to skip the "error" part of it in the future. If you decide to try to EQ them and run them together, please continue to share your journey. Thank you too, Bill, for sharing your wisdom with noobs like m...

Re: Little Update
Finally wrestled the TTLS upstairs w/help from SWMBO. Set it up in it's place and fired it up. In a word...disappointing. Muddy sounding, but louder. Thought about it a minute and realized that due to placement and running off a single LFE output channel, the two sub's soundwaves were hitting me at...

Re: TTLS To Help Out TT
That white and black turned out pretty sweet. I am really looking forward to seeing it in place and hearing how good it sounds and what it adds to the other TT.

Re: Crown Audio XTi 1000 or 2x OAudio Bash 500
Wouldn' it be better to run 2? I'd try it with one first to be sure. Thanks Bill. I really appreciate all your help. And everyone else too, thanks. If anyone is interested in buying a new Crown XTi 1000, B&H Photo has them on sale now for $389.99. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/425490-RE...

Re: Crown Audio XTi 1000 or 2x OAudio Bash 500
I was just thinking one for each, not for watts but, for adjustability. I will have them across the room from one another at different distances from the seating area and only one will be corner loaded. Wouldn' it be better to run 2?And one Bash 500 should be adequate for a pair of TT.

Crown Audio XTi 1000 or 2x OAudio Bash 500
I am working on a 2 TT setup in my HT and am looking for some good advise on the right amp. Both of these look good to me but both with compromises. The Crown Audio XTi 1000 is a 2 chan pro amp with DSP, so all in one package, but how loud is the cooling fan? Will my Onkyo TX-NR808 LFE output a stro...

Re: TTLS To Help Out TT
Just to reiterate what Bill said....watch that driver depth . I been thinking about that and will make a mock up out of cardboard when I get the drivers to make sure. I think (hope) it will be OK. getting the mounting screws started on the regular TB was difficult The good thing about the 8"x1...

Re: TTLS To Help Out TT
I am really enjoying watching your build. I am planning to build a TTLS and a TT with the TB W8Q-1071F 8x12s. I am going to place the TTLS behind my right front tower (like you plan) and the TT in the rear left corner as a table. I will def make some right angle clamps. Look forward to see the rest....
