Re: Dual Loaded Table Tuba Review

Great review – I wasn’t able to view the pictures. I’m not sure why. I mean I’m signed in !?? Does anyone know why the pics would be blocked?? Sure, they probably used photobucket as a free image host, and photobucket is no longer free so the pics are blocked for that user, or the images were remov...

Re: T60: RMS SPL (half-space)

30Hz is a guess? I only ask because from 32Hz and up, T48's will beat T60's in output. You can work it out yourself. Go to T60 in the SPL section, find the one chart that is half space. Each doubling of cabs adds +6dB, and flattens response. Therefor cab 1 is as per chart, then 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 Your ...

Re: New Zealand guys path to improving the camp boom box

G'day and welcome to the forum :) I don't know what you know about speaker building, but specific designs are designed around the TS specs of the driver. That's a wishy washy way of saying the right driver in the design will work best. The issue for us antipodeans is getting the right driver at reas...

There is approximately 1/32" space around the driver to allow for expansion.
Ohh cool, that's great then. I thought you meant tight!!!!

Re: drummer's monitor sub

[/quote] Nothing less than a T24. BTW, these drummers are nuts! :fruit: Mmm, even as a drummer I agree. Though lot's of old school drummers are deaf, so they need/want kidney bruising bottom end in their drum fill, or it's not enough. Thanks Bill, I agree. I figure having the kick so loud makes it h...

Re: 36 IN Tuba HT

If you have installed sketchup on your computer, double click on the .skp file you have been sent and it should open it up. Have you installed sketchup? Sketchup is used for additional information. The complete instructions are in the .doc file. You need Microsoft word to open .doc files (or openoff...

Re: Best Tuba for music in large room

I am almost certain that 2, Table Tubas wont fly. How would a single table tuba with a 10" driver perform (reg or long is tbd)? What about Tuba 24 or Tuba 30? Are they options? Stick with a HT design (that eliminates th eT24 and the T30). Multiples is rarely about sheer volume in the HT environment...

Re: Low power spl bass setup in truck

Do as much searching here in the forum as you can, so much stuff has been done already, and it's good to get ideas from what has come before.

There is a thread somewhere, using 2 of Bill's designs in a vehicle, and popping windows out!

Re: Tuba weights?

Since it's DIY, there's no onus on builders to report anything at all, such as build width or weights. While a 2 x 12 lab 12 will beat a single 15 lab in output, in a T60, you could build either of the following; a dual lab 12, 29-39" wide. a dual 15 cab, to 54" wide. The decision to do so would be ...

Re: Titan 39 Build

Looking great so far :) You don't want to undo that driver, but they shouldn't be a tight fit! Heat makes metal expand right? If it's got no where to go, it will do something else, like break itself, or the cab. Also, if needs be, how do you get it out if it's tight? You can see your pencil line for...

Re: Dr200 super premium driver

IIRC correctly, the longest duct option will alter tuning to around 40Hz, but it will do so at the expense of midrange response, and reduce power handling by around 50%. In a DR250 with a 2510, that reduces power handling to 20V, so it will be less than that for a DR200. The B&C driver you listed is...

I know this might seem a bit pedantic, but are you building 1 dual loaded cab, or 2 single loaded cabs?
