Re: Loctite PL Premium in Australia

Harley, have you tried Selleys Liquid Nails Platinum, coz I've used it on about a dozen cabs and other assorted projects and it works fine for me.

Re: Jack 10 lite build x 2

1) On page 4, it says to draw two 14" radius arcs from A & B. Needs to say 8-3/4". Minor but will confuse builders. Fixed, thanks. 2) The holes shown for the Top Hat on the bottom & duct do not line up. They are off by 3/4", which a top hot will not fit through  The que...

Re: DIY ABS glue

So is the best glue to join the tweeters ABS cement, or PVC glue? It was my understanding that the ABS cement actually formed a chemical bond, while the PVC glue just formed a brittle surface fillet. BTW my "acetone/tweeter scraps" mix has produced a strong bond, that is able to withstand ...

Re: DIY ABS glue

I ticked the "Open box and check contents" option at Shipito, and that's where they discovered the glue, and informed me DHL wouldn't ship it.
Great service and speedy delivery from all concerned.

DIY ABS glue

Can't source ABS glue locally, and DHL won't ship flammable liquids, so... I searched the forum, and found references to BFM's DIY ABS glue, but couldn't find the original thread... so... I saved all the offcuts and scurf when I trimmed my piezos, and soaked them in a bit of acetone overnight. Today...

Wegehorn 6 + 3 x Wedgehorn 6 Lite.

W6's out of 7mm 3-ply (that's all I could get ;) )

I'll towel that idea, then, I never seen that Bose system until this morning. Thanks for the prompt response!

Pole/column speaker

Are there any plans to do a BFM pole/column type speaker design, similar to the Bose L1?
A column of cross-firing piezos matched with a Jack10 for bass could be a winner :)

Re: Loctite PL Premium in Australia

I used Selleys Liquid Nails Platinum at $10/cartridge from the local Mitre10 hardware here on the east coast of Australia and got a Jack10 and an XF 2x10 easily out of one cartridge...
