My friend just picked up a MARQ 700 hazer he is very happy with. I have seen it in action (indoors) produce a nice even haze
I'm about to toss my 3 Chauvet fog machines and pick one up. Had nothing but problems with the Chauvets.

Re: Kreg screws?
I thought about using those when I set out to build my first T39 sub. I had used them on shelves and things at home. After experimenting with PL glue I realized I needed no screws at all. I bought an electric brad nail gun and never looked back. The brads simple wood the wood in place while the glue...

I never realized how much of a hack I am at building things.
Your build looks great.

Re: I need a good handheld tone generator
Buy a used Android phone on Craigslist or pick up a new cheap android tablet at a store. You do not have to activate the phone onto a cell network to use WiFi or run apps. Then use Audio tool app, it has a decent generator. Will not give you a "reference" level but fine for breaking in dri...

Re: Excessive ads on the mobile site (this post contains large images)
I am glad someone posted about this. Picked up a new phone yesterday and of course I come here to test the browser. RATS! I started to think the phone browser was inserting ads into the BFM site. I was getting ready to return the phone until I noticed the ads were not on other sites, so I thought it...

Re: How to TEST a USED amp?
I usually test one channel at a time. I connect a source like a phone, but preferably a phone through a mixer, and play music into the amp. I use a multi-meter on outputs before connecting to any speaker to make sure the amp isn't spitting out any constant or harmful voltage. With no music playing a...

Re: Champion Sound for Columbus Ohio
If you want to hear some T39's I have 4 in Akron Ohio (and 4 Otops). I may also be interested in selling them. I am not running my PA as much as I used to. Really the debate on how much low end is enough and how low do they go compared to your music content can be answered easily with a good listen....

Re: Shopping for a New Mixer
I was a Yamaha digital mixer user for many years, 01v, DM1000, DM2000, M7CL, PM5D. The x32 was sort of forced upon me and I have used both the Soundcraft and A&H digital desks form time to time. For the money I would go with an X32 rack and a digital snake. In fact I bought my own after operatin...

Would it work to stack absorbing foam blocks in font of each driver you want to "turn off" so they stay in the electrical load as wired but you acoustically "turn them on" by removing each block ?

Re: Birdhouses?
When I built my first T39 I could not find a local supplier of BB or 5 equal ply 1/2 inch wood so I threw one together with big box store A/C plywood, figuring it would be a prototype. 4 years later I'm still using it and though it is lighter than the rest of my herd, and sounds wonderful but is not...

Re: legalize me up captain!
I believe it changes from the USA to Europe, not sure about Australia but worth looking into. In the USA the venue (brick and mortar) is who ASCAP and BMI seeks licence fees from, usually based upon the seating capacity and negotiated as a percentage of annual gross revenues. A blanket license allow...
