Re: Inuke 6000 Cut out

Thank you guys for the tip. Used the subs again this past weekend. They went 12 hours with no problem cutting out despite some seriously bass heavy music. Although I didnt touch the crossover settings and did turn the gain down on the amp everything worked out great. Going to work on playing around ...

Re: Inuke 6000 Cut out

So if the amp would max out at 49v which is lower than the max for the drivers would I still need to set a limiter?

Re: Inuke 6000 Cut out

Change the in cab parallel wiring of the drivers to series wiring in both cabs. Driver wise, the impedance would be 16ohms nominal for one cab. Parallel those 2 cabs together for an overall nominal load of 8 ohms. This at least raises the load being asked of the amplifier, and that within itself re...

Re: Inuke 6000 Cut out

Grant Bunter wrote:With an inuke 6000 and 2 3015lfs per channel you could thermal thr amp in the duration of a single song, if the bassline is centered at thr impedance minima and has a high duty cycle.
So how would I go remedying that? Bigger amp? Better settings on the EQ/crossover/limiter?

Re: Inuke 6000 Cut out

I brought the subs in simply to get a lot more volume of bass at lower frequencies. While the Carvins are full range and sound great just on their own... on their own the mid and hi frequencies get muddy. When I add the sub and cut out the bottom end of output on the carvin tops the sound cleans up ...

Re: Inuke 6000 Cut out

Amp is in a rack along with a voltage regulator supplying power to the DBX PA2, Wifi Router, mixer and decks. Rack was sitting under the DJ table with nothing obstructing the airflow but the DJ standing in front of it. Although you do have a good point that maybe I just need to put a fan in front of...

Re: Inuke 6000 Cut out

The amp powers two sub boxes for a total of 4 drivers. One box hooked up to each channel on the amp. The tops are Carvin 1588a which are a powered 3 way cabinet with 15" drivers along with mids and tweeters. I have 38-58hz going to the sub boxes and 58hz - 20khz going to the tops. I have the su...

Inuke 6000 Cut out

I am using a Behringer Inuke Nu6000 amp to power two BFM cabinets that are loaded with dual Eminence 3015lfs. I am using these with a 3 way cab and I have found that to get the cleanest sounding bass out of these I have to EQ them down to a pretty narrow range of 38-58 hz. I have a high pass set the...

Re: Bridging vs $2000 amps

So I was wrong. I do believe I meant 900 @ 4ohms. The drivers are Eminence 3015LFs. I have not measured the output voltage but rather set my limiter settings based upon a calculator I found linked on this forum and which was discussed as a method of setting it all up to properly protect my speakers....

Bridging vs $2000 amps

I went to an event recently and looked into the sound system. They had 3 dual 18" horn loaded subs on each side for 12 subwoofers total. These were powered by Crown amps that were bridged and provided bone shaking bass for a crowd of about 150 at any given time. Ive always read that bridging is...

Re: DBX DriveRack PA2

I guess its not that I dont like it, its more that I wasnt sure what to expect with the device and Im comparing it to the only other equipment Ive used which is the Behringer DCX and DEQ. I will say that it definitely sounds better even with the DCX still handling crossover duties. Just bought two m...

Re: DBX DriveRack PA2

Well, on the mid and high output sections the system would go in a particular order lets say left-mid, right-mid, left-high, right-high. As soon as it would run into an unconnected output everything would fall over. As in it would stop and not allow you to move forward. Also, the right output was au...
