Re: Recording for hire.....how much to charge??
Bruce, very good points. I totally agree. I know from my past experience when i have recorded a jazz band you end up hearing all the chatter in between songs, people coughing, etc. I still don't have enough information about the equipment that this particular group is using, so I guess that is part ...

Recording for hire.....how much to charge??
Do any of you provide live recording services? I own a Zoom H4n and had some one ask me if I would record their performance. Its a small group of 3 to 4 I believe. What would be a reasonable price. I was thinking in the $35 to $50 range. I am no pro at this but I have recorded my wife singing with a...

Re: Considering Presonus Studio Live 16.0
Donny, You should check out the new Allen and Heath QU-16. I borrowed one from a friend for a weekend and this is a pretty bad azz mixer. They have released another firmware that lets you store libraries among other things. You can record with out a computer too. The price has recently dropped to $1...
Re: QSC GX5
DJMB, I have been running my OT12's on the GX5 since the GX5 became available. It does not even break a sweat for tops. When you picked the t30's up from me that was the amp that we did the demo with. As already mentioned it may be a little shy in the power dept for the t30's and you can only run tw...

Re: Bass guitar rig
played bass through a 24" t48 and an otop the other week for the first time. lows sounded great, but I could NOT get the mids dialed in the way I wanted. So maybe my time would be better spent building Jack 12's as I have seen a number of people using those successfully for bass. Then I can do...

Bass guitar rig
Sooooo I have a hankering to try and learn to play bass. My question is if I already own OT12's, gx5 amp and a DRPA+, could I build a t39 and sit a OT12 on top of the t39 as a bass rig for learning. I know its crazy overkill but I own every thing except the t39. Plus if I build a pair of t39's I wil...

Re: Bash amp enclosure
Everything that I have read says this style amp is meant to be installed in a bass enclosure with no additional venting. The aluminum
faceplate acts as a heat sink. I leave mine set to "auto" so it goes into a standby mode when not in use. I have not noticed any heat issues.

Bash amp enclosure
Picked up a Poplar board at lowes and turned it into this. Basic butt joints and some wood glue. Turned out pretty good for the time invested, which was not much. I am going to stain with a dark cherry stain and poly. http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii31/outerbounds/IMG_0200_zps9f31325d.jpg http:...

Re: Total Router Noob
I have been looking through the router bits that my pop left me and I have a rabbit bit. Couple of different sizes actually.
So am going to do some experimenting with some scrap wood.
