Re: New amp(s) for Titan 48/Omnitop 12 rig

I know I know. That gig was a heck of an ordeal. The power was over 100 feet in either direction from the stage and by the time it reached the stage it was showing less than 100 volts. They brought gennies later but they only put out 104 volts. That was after the amps failed. My fault. Paying for it...

New amp(s) for Titan 48/Omnitop 12 rig

Hey all. I have posted in the past and had great luck with getting the information I needed. I have had my rig up and running for many happy years until recently. I had a gig in a small town with horrible power and ended up ruining not only my two amps( QSC RMX 2450's) but also blew one of my subwoo...

Re: iNuke 6000 NU4

I know that the QSC PLD amps are a bit more pricey than you are wanting to spend, but I bought one for running monitors and I abosolutely love it. Plenty of power, and Since most my amps are the Peavey 12m the presets work amazingly. For the 4th of July, I used it to run my FOH. I used yet another p...

Re: thoughts about my amps for the whole setup

I haven't seen anyone post about the PLD series from QSC yet. I have the PLD 4.2 and it puts out 400 a side at 8 ohms. I absolutely love it because it has cross overs available for each channel and if my FOH amps give out this little amp can run my whole system and it only weighs 15 lbs tops. The po...

Re: QSC PLD

The dsp is actually very easy to get around in. It can limit by volts or watts. If you don't use them for your bf speakers it has presets for popular brands from QSC, JBL, Peavey and several others. I love it. I plan to get the big 4.5 when I get this one paid off.

QSC PLD

Hey guys, I bought a QSC PLD 4.2 a few months back and have been waiting to post a review of it. After 5 gigs this thing is still running beautifully for my monitor rig. It has 4 channels, each capable of 400 watts at 8 ohms. I am planning on purchasing the 4.5 once I have a bit more money in the ba...

Busy weekend

Hey all, I just wanted to post a quick review of this weekend. Friday night I had a band in a small bar that did rock and the following morning I had a small festival to run sound for. All in all the sound was clear, punchy and I never had any complaints about anything from anyone. I am a happy pupp...

Re: Wireless microphones

Ok. That would make a lot of sense. We were well over 80 feet away from the performers. But all in all I thought it was a great performance. The wireless kits we used were purchased a few years ago by a group in Town. They loaned them and when I recieved them they were all sorts of messed up. I was ...

Re: Wireless microphones

The main mics were AudioTechnica 3000's. As for taking into account the location I did find out what frequencies were not available via the site as well. But the bodies makes sense. I have looked into RF guru and I don't know if that is something that I can afford at this moment being I don't work w...

Wireless microphones

Hi all, I did sound for a musical this last weekend and now that I am finally able to sit down and reflect I have a few questions about wireless microphones. To start off, When I first started using the wireless microphones I did a lot of reading about intermodulation. It was from there that I found...

Re: Starting tops and Monitors

Hey all, I know this is a bit late, but my Dad and I were finally able to get started on the cabinets. Had to reorder wood since the other was not what was ordered. Today we go the basic cab built for the tops. Still have to mount the sheaths and bracing inside and should just be ready to wire it up...

Re: Starting tops and Monitors

Ok. I was worried for a second I had ordered the wrong parts. As far as I can tell I am following the diagram exactly. Had my boss check over it while I was soldering them up. As I said before I have one board with the high-pass and one with the low pass per cabinet. I'll have pictures of those up s...

Re: Starting tops and Monitors

Those are going on the separate board. I didn't want to make my first crossovers difficult. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get those finished and posted on the site. I plan to have those done on Monday. I am looking at my Plans also and I notice that it isn't .5mH but .6mH....Will that make a differ...

https://www.facebook.com/braden.bruntzel/posts/10204564821538957 Hey all I finally have been able to get started on the crossovers. Here are the low's mounted to the boards. I thought'd I'd make sure that this looks like the diagram. I will need to put jumpers between the coils and resistors and the...

Re: Starting tops and Monitors

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE, my speakers and crossover components came in. Tomorrow I will start making the crossovers and posting pictures. That way if I make any accidents someone on here may be able to correct me before I get to far along.
