Re: 4 Point Club System

Not normal or recommended, but T39's and T60's have been done together: https://billfitzmaurice.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=20697&hilit=Wall+bass As much as anything, it's the review info and data included in such threads that informs the potential users of the decisions that need chewing over....

Re: 4 Point Club System

The issue with multiple stack is your sweet spot is equidistant from all of them, like ONE single spot in the room. Adding delay to the rears will only make things worse because if you're somewhere near the front you'll hear those speakers first, the rear speakers are already delayed by virtue of di...

Re: Low power spl bass setup in truck

You'll certainly ruffle a few feathers with a low dollar, low power setup because most people think you need to spend loads of cash to be the top dog which is even funnier when you're aiming for single frequency farts of bass for a few seconds at best.

Re: What program is it that indicates content frequency range

You might want to try Resonic which I found a good while back... I found this mere moments ago and wow is it ever good. Previously you'd have to go into Audacity or another program to find out where the bass content of your tracks lies and it'd only let you analyse 15 seconds at a time. Resonic is a...

Re: Jack 112, 212 or DR250

If you build the DR250 aaaand a T39 the same width to put under it with premium drivers, then :chainsaw: You'll send your Jacks home crying. I invited a friend over once to play his guitar through my setup. He was hugely envious of the setup as I was of his skill playing... obviously the bottom end...

Re: 40x52ft building want neighbors to hate me

I have my setup in my workshop which is roughly 40'x20'x9' It's fairly awkwardly placed for space reasons (there's 4 cars in there) but I'm more than happy with it. It never gets near war volume.

I imagine high ceilings and flat walls in there muddying up the sound a fair bit.

Re: BFM Hit List...

My tastes run wide so my recommendations are all over the place. Drum and bass: Noisia - ANYTHING off the Outer Edges album. The guys have a real knack for producing silly, silly enormous sounding tracks but not just filling your earholes with sludge. Favourite tracks personally being Tentacles, Man...

Considering in this situation you're looking to throw as far as possible then I'd stack the 4 and run them mono for the coupling as per this Brent video from forever ago...

Only 7.1 ? I thought everything was bigger in Texas, double that sub number... ;)

Should be a really fantastic system, that.

Re: Hi from Florida!

If you're going Tuba 60 then you might as well use the Lab15 and do the cabs 27" wide for the most bang for your buck. The Delta 12LFs have about 1/3 the xmax of a Lab driver so aren't capable of pushing enough air so they're not suitable at all for this use.

Re: Hi from Florida!

We already had amps, equalizer, and crossover built into the budget (the budget I gave is only what we were allotting for actual speakers/speaker components). However, I've been researching limiters now that you've mentioned it. I know my DJ software has a built in limiter, but I worry about other ...

In short; if it's in the plans, do it. If not, it's pointless.
