Re: 4 Tuba 60s Lab 15 (GX7?)
Go with a Beta3 amp. 4 channels of goodness. Switching power supply, great for 4 and 8 ohm loads. Clean power and runs cool. I am using a XA4.14 Which is putting out 2600w @ 4ohm per channel. Sounds like you want a XA4.06 http://www.elderaudio.com/products/AmplifierAndElectronics/XA4Series/2009/XA4-...

Re: Let me introduce you to "THE KRAKEN"
This rig is also what makes me ask, is it better to Line T60s or cube them? obviously with 6-12 the answer is both, but what about for 4?

Re: Let me introduce you to "THE KRAKEN"
If you could hear an Omnipresent present being, im pretty sure this is what it would sound like. It changed my life and the way I perceive sound. I can't wait to replace my SA1232s with DR280s :hyper:. I do really like the SA1232s though. They do sound damn good either alone at house parties or cut ...

Why you can't use Folded horn with direct radiating.
People hire me to come out and supplement their sound, I end up completely bypassing their system and running my own. Problem is I know you DO NOT use folded horn tubas with anything other then more folded horn tubas. Fortunately once the tubas are on, all questions cease, unfortunately until then. ...

Also, to actually answer your question, system seems to sound better and more bass heavy when cut off around 160-180 range.

Re: Elder Audio Beta3 Amps
I can go as aggressive as 48db roll off LPF/HPF but I thought you wanted a soft low roll off and a hard high roll off? No I am not lacking mids, between the Italian SA1232s and SRM450v1 with V2 low drivers I have PLENTY of mid/high. Going off of T60 chart which shows a usable range of 27-210hz. PLEA...

Re: Elder Audio Beta3 Amps
Yes, I have a limiter/compressor, but was set really soft and the 50-60v time was while I was playing cause I let the system go louder for me, again never had probs before...course never had amp this powerful before either. Using a dbx 260. Running subs @ 35-170Hz with 35@ 12db LR roll off and 170 @...
