Re: Mini SLA Pros and lovin it
I've used my mini's for a few Duo gigs recently with a T39 and they sound great. Backing tracks and 2 vocals going through the system and in decent sized rooms with a lot more power left. Vocals sound great though these things and I get some funny looks when setting up the speakers on the stands,the...

Re: PA speaker management modules
I've recently had the Peavey VSX 26,its my first speaker management box that I've owned and its easy to setup and use . There is an autograph section on there that auto eq's the the speakers which is easy and straight forward to use and sounds good as well . I've read on various forums by people tha...

Re: Allen and Heath PA12
I have'nt have'nt looked at Zed series yet,but I certainly will take a look. Tha advantages with the Pa12 over my mackie extra 2 mic preamps,4 band eq on channel strip over the 2 on the Mackie, More Aux sends ,not shure about the effects but I assume that they would be better,4 band parametric eq on...

Re: Mini SLA Pros and lovin it
I took my Mini's to practice along with my Jack 10's and a T39 tonight and after we had finished rehearsing I had time to compare the 2 sets of cabs . Well, the Mini's sounded equally as impressive as the Jacks with recorded music and vocals. I had saved a preset on the Peavey VSX 26 for each set of...

Allen and Heath PA12
Has any one had any experience with this mixer.I'm currently using a Mackie DFX-12 and want to upgrade with something decent. The reverbs on the mackie are'nt that great and only has 1 Aux outbut and 2 band eq / Channel. I am hoping that the effects will be better on the PA12 ,and it looks a good so...

Re: Peavey VSX 26
Thanks alot Brent.
The Ratio,( Preferably inf:1 ) would that be 20:1
Peavey recommend from between 10:1 and 20:1 for speaker protection.
The smallest Attack on the unit is 0.18.
The smallest Release is 1ms
I think I've got the hang of it now, thanks again

I've just got the VSX recently and need to know what settings you BFM users are using in the Dynamics section of the unit. What section are you using to limit the voltage to the speakers,is it gain or threshold or both ,it does'nt seem to be vey clear in the manual, and there's the other settings ,Ra...

Did you find dampning a problem with the limited space through the speaker cutouts and behind the main brace.

Re: Mini SLA Pros and lovin it
Looks great.
I'm in the middle of making a pair of mini's for a practice PA for my garage.
Where did you put the port, back or side?

Using a 31 band Eq
This might sound like a stupid question but using the spl charts as a reference curve for setting the 31 band eq ,where on the spl chart is considered 0 to coinside with the 0 on the eq unit.
