Re: Titan 48x8 build
Just out of curiousity, are the holes in your access panel drilled large enough, so that the screws/bolts you are using spin freely enough allowing them to just dig into the flange and not "thread" thru the access panel. Also, tighten them in an alternating pattern, a little at a time.

Re: Table tuba first BFM build
I used Aurauco on my Table Tuba build and didn't have any issues with warping at all. As previously mentioned, take a little time at the store and pick out a the best piece you can find.

Re: REW question - Can I safely use this mixer with my lapto
I figured that introducing the mixer into the "loop" could possibly color the response. But as long as I use the same equipment for my measurements, establishing a baseline through calibration, wouldn't it be close enough for "ham and egger" reference. I was more concerned with h...

Re: REW question - Can I safely use this mixer with my lapto
Sorry kekani, I don't quite understand what you mean. Are you referring to the tape outputs? Are you saying to go from one side of the tape output to the mic input of the laptop, then one side of the line out of the laptop to the input of the driverack to feed the power amp? I'm missing something be...

REW question - Can I safely use this mixer with my laptop
Hi guys, I have a Mackie VLZ-1202 mixer and I am wondering if I can safely use it with my HP Pavillion g7 1328dx laptop with "mic-in" input as opposed to "line in" inputs. The owners manual for the mixer states on page 15: "Engaging the MAIN OUTPUT LEVEL switch pads the bala...

Re: Nuetrik Powercon help
This is exactly why they have been trying to adopt an international electrical code for many years. Old habits die hard I guess. Just like when we tried to adopt the metric system here in the States. Didn't take very well. No matter where you are, just be safe.

Re: Nuetrik Powercon help
Actually L stands for Line as in "line voltage" Your power connections should be: Black = L ine White = N eutral Green = Ground Double check your connections for continuity with an ohm meter before you apply any L ine voltage. Always double, then triple check your connections for proper po...

Re: Delay or reverb suggestions for live sound (vocals)
Any thoughts on which of these might give the most bang for the buck? The asking price on each is as follows: ART FXR Elite $50, Delta Lab™ ADM-256 $30, and Digitech™ RDS-1900 $40 or both the Delta and Digi for $50 package deal. Thanks to everyone for your input. Boost, maybe you could pm me with wh...

Re: Delay or reverb suggestions for live sound (vocals)
There's a local guy selling some delay units on C-list but they seem like guitar FX. They are: ART FXR Elite, Delta Lab™ ADM-256, and Digitech™ RDS-1900. Any thoughts?

Re: Delay or reverb suggestions for live sound (vocals)
Thanks for the quick reply Don. I don't have any built in effects on my board so that's why I'm looking for something external. Compression is definitely on my list as well.

Delay or reverb suggestions for live sound (vocals)
Hi guys,
Does anyone have any suggestions or comments on what they use for delay or reverb for vocals in their live sound set-up? I'm putting together a small sound system and just looking for some ideas on what you guys use. I'd like to find something used to keep cost down.

Re: CHEAP SPKR CABLE: SPEAKON TO SPEAKON
It's generally OK to snip a few strands of wire to make a connector fit... as long as there's enough for good mechanical fit (at least half or so). NL4s are designed for #14 stranded IIRC. Use a small flush cutter to take off a few strands of #12 and it works just fine. Do keep in mind that the mor...
