Yep. I ordered an XR18 partly because it can record 16 channels as instead of a stereo mix like the XR12 and XR16.doncolga wrote:... I may opt for the XR-18, since it will act as an audio interface too. That would be super handy.

Re: Behringer Digital Rack Mixers
One obvious thing I forgot if you didn't know. There is absolutely no control except for the headphone out put on this box. It is only through an outside device. ( ipad, android device etc. ) :D Yep. I consider it a much desired feature. A few of the bands I play with have compulsive knob twiddlers...

Re: Behringer Digital Rack Mixers
We received the air18 and like how it works. I own and use the x32 extensively and while the air isn't nearly to level of the x32... It shouldn't. It is a very good platform. I would definitely recommend it. The apps for iPad and android work well... No app for iPhone yet. Ask questions and I will ...

Re: Behringer Digital Rack Mixers
I'll be getting the XR18 in March as I don't need (and can't afford) 32 channels. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

The XR12 and XR16 are on pre-order status at Sweetwater, but the XR18 seems to be for sale now.ibgross wrote:They have not been released/shipped yet. I am installing one to be used in a gym at a high school in Omaha. Not sure of the expected time but my memory says it is not until March.

The Behringer X32 has a gotten lot of favorable attention. Does anyone have any experience with the XR16 or XR18?

Has anyone used the Zed 10FX? (http://www.allen-heath.co.uk/zed/zed-10FX.asp).
The Zed pre's are based on their PA series mixers, and have a pretty rep. But the 10FX pre's are based on the MixWizard series, which I'm not familiar with.

Anyone have any experience with Stewart Amps? I'm thinking of using one to power a pair of SLA's.

Re: Crown xti DSP Settings.
Does the Crown xti software have some sort of RTA function? I'd haul a laptop to a gig in heartbeat if could use it to replace a bunch of gear.

Re: Crown xti DSP Settings.
I will be getting an xti next month. It will drive a pair of O10.5's (2510) and sometimes a T24. I'm glad to see this thread as it helps me better understand the amp's DSP capabilities. From what I've been able to sort out, the EQ in the xti is best used to smooth out cabinet response. I'd still nee...

Can anyone recommend a book or two that explains how horn enclosures work and what the design factors are?

Actually this thread diversion has sparked a few new thoughts to give the bass player in our effort to get him to turn down the volume. Adding ambient room sounds to an IEM mix is one of things I've read about, and it would solve part of the problem of feeling cut off. Any ideas about what I could d...
