Re: Phase plug shape

A couple of things. It took time and a lot of trial and error to produce the fillers. There are a ton of foam products on the market, but only one that works well. The forms have to be made so as to provide a method to get the product out in one piece. That has to do as much with the shape and mater...

Here are some shots of my work. I haven't been very active on the forum lately, but I'm still here and still building! A T-39, 22" http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/telecast_photos/Tfront.jpg A DR-250 http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/telecast_photos/dr2501.jpg A powered Wedgehorn h...

Re: Mounting DR piezo arrays with wooden trim

I took them down because, as Dave said, they're no longer relevant. The melded array lets you use the original mounting holes.

Re: Dreams do come true

The bottom is a mellded array and the top is a straight array. Actually, the bottom cabs are crossfired, not melded. The band asked what I changed in the monitors. That's because of the super wide dispersion. I used those cabs many times with no monitors for the guys up front. You can hear yourself...

Re: XF210 hands-on review and gig report

Hey, Tim. Been hella-busy, lots of gigs which is a good thing. Been helping my bandmates with getting their amps pointed AT them, instead of near them. I still want to get them to try out an XF cab. You have any built and available to test out? Or would you have to build one for me? I still think t...

Well, I was playing in this little joint once. They were way out in a tiny town that had 3 joints, all with live music. They had lousy crowds and didn't advertise. Eventually, the joint failed.

Does that count? :hyper:

Nope, it's thick, like caulking.

Re: Great circle cutting router jig

Personally, I've never found a need to go any more granular than a 16th, but some claim they need 32nd and even 64th granularity. I've used my Jasper for years and would sooner sell the wife than part with it. Wow! Do they think a 64th would make a difference on a driver cutout? Even at that, the r...

Re: Great circle cutting router jig

With a fixed template you must use the bit it was designed for or your circles will be the wrong size. Since my shop floor is concrete I have in the past *ahem* dropped bits and chipped them. With the adjustable jig I can use any router bit I want and the thing still works. Yes you need to measure ...

Disagree. I've used all type of circle cutters over the years. Anything with an adjustable slide can slip, and will eventually not want to hold in place at all. The Jasper Jig won't do either, and you don't have to measure anything.

Re: sliding panel cutting jig for Ryobi BT3100

That's one of my table saws. One of the features on that saw is that the rails slide. You can remove the slide and the right extension table, slide the rails all the way to the left, and support a large panel. You can also swap sides with the extension table and slide if you want. It's pretty versat...
