Re: Hello, from not so sunny London, UK

I used the Delta Pro 12.....maybe a bit heavy but I'm not using them every week. For the HF section; one cabinet has a straight piezo array that I build myself, the other a melded one that I bought from SpeakerHardware. The straight was easy enough to make, the melded looked like it was better left ...

Re: Hello, from not so sunny London, UK

I made a simple router jig to make the OT12 driver spacer, nothing very fancy as I'm more of a wood butcher than a craftsman, but it worked and you're more than welcome to use it if you do go ahead with OT12s. Personally I found the throat reflectors the biggest fiddle. I only had a jigsaw and a rou...

Nothing else planned until Summer.

Re: Champion Sound for Columbus Ohio

My experience with unbranded Speakons and XLRs has not been good. I've now changed them all out for Neutriks. The generic copies were fine for a while but various issues happened over time.

Probably there are good and bad low cost ones, but it seems a bit of a gamble.

Re: PA Systems an article from an old PRO that knows his stuff

I had a good read at that site....very interesting. One thing that I didn't understand related to the section on past JBL drivers that were wired so that positive on black moved the cone forward. "Incorrectly phased drivers - especially in the same physical enclosure - will be damaged very easi...

Re: Wireless Microphones

Each mic needs it's own receiver on a different and compatible frequency....unless you don't plan to use them both at the same time !

Is that the right baffle option for the Delta Pro 12?

Re: Lighting : Reliable Stand + Cans + Lasers ??

I've had good luck with American DJ Mega Tri Par Proflles...they have an optional remote control at fairly low cost if you don't want to run with a DMX controller. Both power and dmx can be wired "daisy chain" so they are pretty easy to setup.
