Re: 8 x DR250 build
IMHO less is more. I highlighted the horn sheaths only - just for some contrast. All that blue and silver seems to me to be more of a distraction.

Re: Snake Rebuild Project
Band I was mixing last night called me up to play guitar on Folsom Prison.....pretty brave on their part, they'd never heard me play. Guess they figured a 100 year old song needed a 100 year old player. LOL, one of the first songs I ever learned. Memorized the entire album. That was about 88 years ...

Re: Speakons; Just use the screws or solder them?
Tin the wires and use the supplied screws is what I do... That was my first failure. They just slipped out because of the tinning there was probably only one place to hold it exactly where it needed to be held. I since have stripped off about a quarter inch or a little less, just enough to get the ...

Speakons; Just use the screws or solder them?
I've had two failures in two weeks now with my speakon jacks. Do you guys just use the screws with them or take the screws out and solder the wires in? (12 gauge wire)

Re: Another OT12 build
Because it's a horn. Can't have air leaks just like the subs can't have air leaks. Folks even plug the 1/4" jacks if they're not using them.ctmullins wrote: So why exactly does it need to be sealed off?

Re: Nordo's Dual T39 Build
Paint the cabs with a couple of coats of flat black latex...then roll on the duratex. Two coats will do pretty good and you'll have 80% of the gallon left. That stuff goes a long way. +1 I did almost everything in my sig with ONE gallon - except the last 4 T39s and some of the WHs left to do. So, t...

Edge Roundover Techniques
What size router bit are you using to round over the edges of your cabs built with 1/2" material? What's your technique for something like the top or bottom front edge of a T39/48 where there is nothing for the roller guide to follow?

Re: TESTING Your Finished Project
I don't think there really is a 'standard' due to environmental conditions. If you measured exactly where Bill measured then you could compare but, if not then i think you have to estimate/compensate etc. I'm finishing up a 2nd pair of T39s and no matter where I measure I just hope they are all, sep...
