recommend speaker grill options for TLAH Pro
The plan is to route a 1/2 inch ply frame and cover with an acoustic fabric that I've purchased. The issue that i see is that there is not much clearance after the components are installed and not many good areas for cross bracing. It seems like it may be flimsy and collapse due to stretching fabric...

Yes, yes, yes. You are totally correct Bruce.
Bassist and keyboard players too. Roll off bass boost or even cut a little. It greatly depends on the room.

Cinco de Mayo gig
So last night one of the groups i work with was hired months ago to play the Cinco De Mayo party for the local Mexican restaurant. This is typically a make or break night for many restaurants around the country. Initially i was shocked that they had this particular band to play this gig. It's really...

Re: Simplexx 10 as a studio monitor?
I won’t be doing any modifications other than the Hf driver. If the cabinet comes out square and clean, I may attempt to veneer it.

Re: Simplexx 10 as a studio monitor?
tvent, I'm going to try and start the build next week. This will be my first attempt. Leland Crooks has done all of my speakers. I'll certainly post updates and a review. I was hoping to get a used Bryston amp, maybe a B3 or B4. It's not pressing right now and I have power amps that i can run with. ...

Simplexx 10 as a studio monitor?
I'm considering this build as a nearfield or midfield studio monitor.
It reminds me of the Tannoy HPD or newer Eaton series. I like the coaxial.
Is there way to bring down the bump in the 3k to 5k region?

BFM designs in general
This is my first review after many years of using Bill's designs. I can attest that the cabinets are light and strong with very high sensitivity. My system runs on very little power and through one 15 amp circuit including back line and LED lights. (all of my friends' systems are constantly tripping...

Re: Venue 360 dropped outputs - Official fix
Thanks to all at BFM forum.
I couldn't figure out for the life of me why my system would drop out. Just as the article described, The Venue 360 appeared to be working properly with input and output meters showing signal.
I'll do this fix today and try it tonight (at a gig). Pray.
