Hello, i'm from kortrijk. The prices of birch plywood have skyrocketed due to the war in ukraine and the resulting low supply. I now use poplar plywood like bill suggests.
Where exactly in west flanders are you from?

That's an awesome build man. Congrats.
I can imagine it took quite some time to get there.
Were you able to resolve the issue with the THT?

When the wife approves like that i would say mission accomplished .
When setting up my system i used allegria from cirque du soleil.
For max bass spl i used the outsiders t78 remix from christian cambas. That really gets thinks shaking.

Re: amp for car sub placement
if you run the power cable next to the signal cable you will hear the alternator sign as the revs go up.
the low pass for the sub should filter it out though.

Re: First build - SLA, TLAH
hello the tlah's and sla's are great ht speakers, you'll love them. the THT is also an increble ht sub but it is my understanding that it is meant to be used indoors. i could be wrong but i would use t60 or t30/45 if i was building an outdoor HT. please correct le if i'm wrong about this. greetz ket...

Re: Building a dedicated HT room
when i was building the HTroom/living room i ran empty wire conduit to all the places where the subs could be placed. essentially making a circle around the room. they ended up in opposite corners around the room. the empty conduit has come in handy for other applications to.

Re: possible tuba30 driver?
thanks for the info bill. these will be used in my workshop most of the time so packspace is not an issue. i have several old lower power amp's that will work great for this.
the 'subs' that are used now are less than ideal.

Re: possible tuba30 driver?
that's great. and how many of the beyma drivers would it take to match one 3012LF? what would the volatge limit be for the beyma?
they will never be used for a crowd larger then 200 so i can easely build double the cabs for what 3012lf's would cost me .

possible tuba30 driver?
hello came across this driver that i would like to use in my new t30/45's. seems like the ts parameters are within limits but would it survive in a horn? https://www.beyma.com/en/products/c/low-mid-frequency/212BR708/altavoz-12br70-8-oh/ i can get it for 75€ a piece so it seems to good to be true. t...

when i need something with a show quality finish i first fill the bigger errors with normal filler, sand that down nice and flat. then spray the whole thing with spray on filler (if that's the correct translation). i have it in a 2 component version for a spaygun but it's also available in rattlecan...

Re: A seeker wants to say hello to become a finder
hello i agree with the Otop12 recommendation, easy enough to build and build cost is a lot lower compared to sla's. the jarray version is lighter but as said not square to just stack on top of each other. the bracket's included in the plans help fix that. it's a little more work that's all. i got my...
