Re: Subwoofer maintenance

I did the exact same thing with my subs. I'm an airplane mecanic so i have lot of experience with threadlock and it works great. I even safetywired one of them ounce but that's a lot of work and a little bit overkill πŸ˜‚

Re: Finally Starting the Theater Build

Hello

I have added a second ttls in my home cinema but not for adding more boom but to address room nodes. It made a clear difference in the sub response across the room!

Re: Hi from Florida!

A limiter is build into dsp units like dbx driverack and behringer dcx. These also take care of the crossover. The dbx also has the all the eq you need i believe. The limiter is a MUST to run the subs without blowing them up especialy around young people who want it as loud as possible. Even with a ...

Re: Tuba 30” driver question

You guys need to come over here and taste Belgium beers. The few times i've been in the states i've never found a beer that i wanted to buy or order twice. Some very weird tasting brew you got over there!
Currently tasting a st bernardus pater 6 if someone is interested 😁 🍺

Re: New Design Ideas??

I know there are plenty designs already available. But it's hard for me to tell which are good and worth the effort of building. I know the bfm designs are good so it's my go to place for speakers. I have a very tolerating girlfriend when it comes to speakers but 10" drivers for the kitchen is a bit...

Re: New Design Ideas??

A simple home audio 2way speaker would come in handy here. For use in the kitchen, bathroom, ... . Something that can be powered with a simple Tamp. Just an idea 😁

Re: Driver Choices for 15 Inch TAT

Hello
A 10" driver moves more air so has a higher max output capability then the 8". Response is dictated by the cab and the vehicle you put it in. They'll both sound very good. The 10" will just make your ears hurt faster πŸ˜€.

Re: ...and 3x SLA Pros to go with them

Hello My sla doesn't feel offended in any way 😁. I just don't feel it's necessary to have the output capability Of the sla pro in a home cinema environment. I know i woudn't want to mis the horizontal dispersion of the curved center sla. But if you're happy with the sla pro as a center then all the ...

Unfortunately i didn't win the auction for the protea.
It went up to 240€ in the end and that's way more then i was willing to pay. I'll stay on the lookout for another chance
