I would never use pyle for my cabinets... I was only wondering if they were okay for testing purposes. If no, what should I look for?

You just haven't hung around the forum here long enough. :) That's what we all do (or should be doing) and is the method recommended in the plans for pro cabs. You could try it with your monitor, but it might be a bit misleading in that you'll hear both the distortion when the cab gets too much jui...

Re: Which amp to use with a T-18, with recommended MCM 8” dr
The IPR1600 is the least powerful of the IPR's and its output is about 4x the RMS power handling at 4 ohms of the MCM rating. I want my amp to have no more than 2x RMS aka 1x program. Too much risk of a blown driver otherwise. If there were 8 ohm versions available, no problem. Double the power is ...

Re: Which amp to use with a T-18, with recommended MCM 8” dr
Doing a little digging, I found what I think might be a good solution for 1 to 4 T18's with the MCM driver. Electro-Voice PA series PA4150L Since it would be in a rack, If I got this I would use a an active rackmount mixer/splitter in the rack and all the outputs would be XLR to Phoenix cables. A 4...

Re: Which amp to use with a T-18, with recommended MCM 8” dr
I realize I'm reviving a dead thread here, but I have the same basic question with a little variation. After seeing someone else post their experience using a single Tuba18 for a pro DJ event, I am thinking a herd of these might be a good choice. For small events where I didn't need incredible outpu...

speakerhardware digmoda amps
Hi, I'm contemplating one of the full BFD (tops and subs) kits from speakerhardware.com with the digmoda plate amps. I'm curious however. For instance, they have the OTops + Tuba packages and they have the Tubas by themselves without the tops, but they don't have a powered top only package. Is this ...
