Re: Spotted In Kansas City
Was a fun event. Sound was on point. Bass was clean, low and powerful without even a hint of struggle, even when it got good and loud as the evening went on. I geeked out the whole time lol.

Spotted In Kansas City
Like right now! I'm the West bottoms at Inferna by Quixotic
I walked in and immediately recognized the Jacks and T60s!
Now which one of you cats is responsible for this awesomeness?

Test tracks/songs
Curious what you guys use as your test tracks for various purposes and scenarios. I've heard from bands and sound engineers that Hotel California seems to be "industry standard" lol. But what do y'all use to test your BFM systems, or do sound checks, or set up a room, or test a pair of hea...

Re: TAT Build
Update on the overall system I decided to bypass the factory amps and use two additional amps, one for the dash tweeters and one for the door speakers. I will not replace the speakers and will leave them stock. They sound pretty good for stock speakers. What I did want was control over the sound and...

Re: TAT Build
Also, I can confidently confirm that this sub is teenager approved! My 19 year old and I jammed in the truck last night at near war volume for a short bit and they were impressed.

Re: TAT Build
Here's the design for the new under-seat storage box to replace the stock one. I might add some movable/removable dividers to better organize stuff.

Re: TAT Build
Next steps: develop a permanent solution to "strap" this sub in place, but be easily detachable. Right now I'm just using a ratchet strap attached to the seat frame. Ugly but functional. Also want to design and build a new under seat storage box to go under the double seat, since I had to ...

Re: TAT Build
FIN Got the DSP wired up to the factory system which was a PITA (yes I used aftermarket wiring harnesses so I'm not hacking apart the stock wiring harness. Learned that lesson a long time ago). The DSP allows for things like setting a HPF for the door speakers and LPF for the sub as well as built in...

@Bill
I found what might be an error in the plans. On page 28, the driver cover image description says "Cover for inlaid mounting" but the dimensions in the image are too large for inlaid mounting. Perhaps the description there should be for "overlaid" mounting.

Re: TAT Build
Driver chamber cover flanges installed. Got the cab all sanded and corners rounded. Also got the "foot" installed so the cab is level in the back of the truck. Decided to go with Duratex as the finish as it's tough and will match the black interior of the truck pretty well. Also way easier...

Re: TAT Build
It LOOKS like the top, forward corner where it first interrupts the seat reclining angle could be trimmed down a bit, so long as the new angled throat dimension remains greater than the preceeding smaller throat area. (Titans have angled corner bracing there.) Trimming with commensurate polyurethan...
