Re: SLA Home Theatre Build - UK Newbie Alert

I hope those wizzer coned fullranges work out. I tried Dayton ND90 in a array without tweeter. They sounded sweet enough by themselves, but in the array the sweetspot narrowed down to a few millimetres!

Re: Speaker recone glue

Thanks for reply's guys! Yes, I found the glue inside the center ring of the packaging. Looks good. But I have a couple of other questions :) The original Lab 12 has double dust caps, the outer one is almost as big as the cone itself. The recone kit has only one, and it looks like the inner one on t...

I found this document from Loctite:

Re: Two THTLP's

So, now it's of to work again, four new weeks in Korea. But I have been playing with my tubas for four weeks now and I have to say; they are just frigging good and keep sounding better and better! For no good reason I played 20hz note at 30V yesteday  I thought both the cabin and me would get...

Re: Two THTLP's

Thanks 88h88. The Cornwalls make plenty of bass by them selves, just not below 35-40hz, so for music the only obvious result for non-believers is a bit cleaner sound. But for movies, I've got some grins by watching the reaction when the volume is cranked and the THT's really kick in. It's a VERY phy...

Re: Two THTLP's

Yeah, with those big Cornwall's in that small room, it's about my only option. When listening to music at normal levels it works pretty good, but at closer to reference levels it is quite obvious that you are sitting on a rocket... But if I went all BFM with SLA's/TLAH's on the other hand, I would h...

Two THTLP's

Greetings! I have been lurking around here for quite some time and I've had the plans and drivers on the shelves for a couple of years. But I never seemed to find the time to build these subs. But I've noticed several builds from Michael Ewald Hansen, a danish builder frequent on these pages. I cont...

Re: Musicality of subwoofers

That is probably correct. The subwoofers have most likely some built in dsp/eq in them, so I am measuring the result of that. I am also adjusting the level with the gain, as there are probably major differense in sensetivity of the raw drivers in cab. Subwoofers of different alignment, size, driver ...

Re: Musicality of subwoofers

I am not a proffesional by any means, but I really do enjoy music and ht reproduced as dynamic and correct as possible. I have eperience with SVS Ultra 13, Ken Kreisel dxd 12012 and Velodyne DD18. They are all great subwoofers, measures about the same in room, but sounds totally different. The SVS h...
