Re: Amp - Brown Out Protection
Well regarding booking agents my considerable experience is that the protection they are most concerned about is that they get paid ! A really good agent is a is like real love hard to find and many times you are stuck with what you can get if you want to work. As a working musician with decades of ...

Re: Peavey CS800x What can it Drive ?
Thank You ! I was able find and an answer from Bill at this thread as well as formula on how to calculate the voltage for limiting. I understand that running to max voltage for the may not get more SPL and just heat and the need for some heard room to keep it clean. http://billfitzmaurice.info/forum...

Re: Amp - Brown Out Protection
Well some of us can't be so picky. Once booked by your agent and arriving at unknown venue you are stuck. Is it true the the iNukes flame out when face with low/poor power or does the author engage in some hyperbole ? Do they have low voltage protection ? If so how good is it ? If iNuke do flame out...

Re: Peavey CS800x What can it Drive ?
If you read my original post you'd see that I'm interested what cabinet and driver combination would be a good match for a Peavey CS800x. Given that I was granted the information regrading other drivers why not provide the answer to this question ? I'm looking for some help in narrowing my purchase ...

Re: Amp - Brown Out Protection
Watch the whole video ! Put aside the his B.S. and the urge to engage in a pissing contest and consider the main premise that he has put forward. 1. The design of the amp makes them receptive to damage from low voltage, brown out. 2. That the use of the UPS would provide protection from this type of...

Re: Peavey CS800x What can it Drive ?
How many volts will these accept ? and does this change for each speaker cabinet ? I guess I mean is at what voltage should I set the limiter for these speaker cabinets with a particular drive ? My interest is to choose a speaker cabinet design and driver that will best match the CS800x I'm just now...

Re: Peavey CS800x What can it Drive ?
Well a closer look will tell you the amp is a CX800x at 45lbs and here at my location near 7.5lbs.
To be more specific with my questions. What drivers and combination of speaker cabinet design will this amp drive the best. Above I'm told it will put out 45volts.

Re: 16ohm Speaker Project for Rhodes Piano
Yes, I understand that! With the Jacks I'm concerned with the crossover. A 16ohm beta10 will most probability influence the crossover point with these speakers. Another issue is to allow the speakers to rest under the piano as the suitcase speaker cabinet did. I envision, if I use Jack10's I will ha...
