Re: The Germans must be reading Bill's plans

I know I started this thread but: Table saw guys ... I surrender. Meet the newest member of the shop. I still use the Festool and just added a Festool plunge router but, d@mn! Sorry, Brian. RATS! You're a sellout! ;p Steve, Welcome to the land of sanity where we use the best tool for the job. Where...

Re: Dual Loaded Table Tuba Review

I had to voltage limit and add a HPF to my TT in my truck. I was unable to see straight otherwise while driving... It would just be my luck to get a DUI from driving under the influence of extreme subbass.

Re: Daytona 500 & BFM Cabs

'helped Tom build and install his SLA's and Tuba24. The Tuba is in the far corner powered by an Ashly FET500. We built the entertainment center also.

Sitting there in the living room is like being trackside!

Re: Plunge saws: M akita versus Festool

:horse: Just to beat the dead horse further into the ground My TS55 has two locking cams front and rear for angle adjustment and plunge depth is not set with a screw but with a rather ingeniuis easy lock system that is graduated in mm and can be adjusted on the fly with one hand. Either one is a goo...

Riving knife - worth it
Chip Guard -sooooo worth it
Owning a tool that does what it says it will, is clearly well engineered, has great US based support, and everyone else makes claims to just as good as or works like... -priceless

Re: Halloween - spooky subsonic bass

What a great idea. We are doing sound for the Halloween street dance in town a couple of blocks from our shop. I'll fire up all the HT subs in the shop with a modulating subsonic tone all night.
Cool idea!

Re: Automotive Finishes

Great finish. What are the drivers in the other cabs? The mains are Definitive Technology Mythos STs. They are OK and accurate but if you discount the sub portion the MTM is average and unimpressive considering they want $2,000 EACH! Ewetho and I went to his place and relistened to his SLAs after t...

Re: Automotive Finishes

Very very nice. I love woodworking but I loathe sanding. I just don't have the patience. It's my loss really because I love the way your cab turned out. Maybe in 10 years i'll feel differently. Thanks...the older I get the better I get at patience ... and sanding. Maybe in ten more years I'll reall...

Automotive Finishes

We have been building some cabs with automotive finishes. I thought I would share a couple of projects. One is a yellow AT for Elliott here on our forum and the other is a THT. Let me say first that I would almost prefer to work with metal for these finishes than wood. I used my Festool track saw to...

Re: 36 wide t48 castors and handle mod

A herd of small cabs will perform just as well as a couple of large ones. Speaking as someone who loves large gear my previous statement does not come easily to me. Before I built my herd of T48s and Tubas I used to use dual 21" loaded monsters. My smaller and lighter 24" wide T48s out per...
