Re: Bash Amp

A few thoughts: 1. Long URLs can be made short with tinyurl. Here's a link to your PDF: http://tinyurl.com/c9a6gfp 2. The BASH amps do have high-level (speaker-level) inputs, so you could hook it up that way. 3. You may have good results by hooking up a BFM subwoofer directly to your amp. I'd be mos...

Re: Why is my Bash warm in standby?

I guess I just can't understand how being in standby is more of a load than when it's actually playing. Well, technically, it appears to be warmer when it's not playing. You're not measuring volts with your hands :noob: . For the scientific answer, pick up a Kill-a-Watt meter, plug your BASH amp in...

Re: THT-LP (26" wide)

What about having the mouth pointing up instead?

Simpler to build, less visual impact (it'll sit lower behind the TV), and it'll still be corner-loaded by the ceiling corner.

Just put a screen on the mouth ("pet screen" or similar) to keep anything from falling into the horn.

I'm wondering the same thing. I built my THTLP 36" wide, and it'll fit through any doorway.

That's the point of the LP... Low Profile :hyper:

Re: Amp reccomendations? (2) 30" T39 with Delta12LF

My plans say 60 volts for the 3012LF. The 3012LF power rating and displacement limited power in the T39 is 450 watts, so a 60 volt signal is the maximum allowable; running 10 volts lower will give a higher margin of protection, I haven't seen the new T39 plans, maybe they've changed. Right you are....

Re: Amp reccomendations? (2) 30" T39 with Delta12LF

The 3012LF can take take the full 60 volts in a T39. That's 450 watts. So, to run two per side - you need an amp that will run 900-1000 watts at 4 ohms. I'm just finishing up a T39, and that sounded off, so I checked the plans: The displacement limited voltage for the BP102 and Delta 12 LF is 35 vo...

Tell me more about this? I'm just about to wire up a pair of SLA Pro's, the plans don't mention anything about "out of phase"

Re: Regnar's First TTLS build.

I thought Regnar's MechMate looked familiar... I've seen it on the mechmate site :). Here's the machine I built (MechMate serial #83): cutting_box_parts.jpg Quick answers: Yes, it's a full DIY build. Cost is somewhere between $6k and $10k, typically. It's all welded steel. Fussy bits (gantry car, no...

Re: Jack 112 - trying to learn as I go

Looks good so far! One question before you, ahem, glue yourself into a corner :noob: Are you planning to apply West epoxy to all the edges, let it cure, and then use PL Premium to glue the whole cab together? If so, may I highly suggest that you try that glue sequence on a couple of scrap pieces, to...

Got to keep it DIY.... http://www.cgallery.com/jpthien/cy.htm again. :) +100 I have one on the shop vac, and one on the big dust collector. They work so well, I can't tell how much dust actually makes it past the separator. 95% of the effectiveness of a cyclone, for about 1% of the cost. The parts ...

They're located in British Columbia, so if you order in the next few months (from Ontario), you'll only pay the 5% GST.

I haven't bought from them (yet) but will likely get a BASH amp from them for my THT.
