a good carpenter isnt measured by how well he can cut a straight line, but by how well he can hide the cut he messed up. no worries. once you sand/paint... no one will ever know.

Re: Table Tuba build!!
Well, I decided to do a replay of those test tones, my windows and blinds do rattle in the corner when playing around 40-55hz so it's easy to know where the bass is but I can still localize tones from 40-45hz and up, but maybe not so much below 40hz. Although, throughout the whole range, never does...

Then a couple of T39s on each side loaded with double 15s. you got that wrong, it needs to be double 18"s loaded T39; and two on each side and stack on top of each other to make an a bada55 horn array :loler: wont the bass be too "slow" if he uses 18's? i like fast bass so i use 15's.

P.S.-rather than getting the Dremel tool, you should get a regular router if you're going get one. The Dremel is to light-duty. +1, and dont spend too much if your only using it on plywood. i bought this one for "weekend warrior" use and it works great. http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc...

Re: Brad Nailers
Using brads is a very acceptable way to attach panels while the PL cures. 3 things: 1) Don't use the electric ones, like the one you linked to, as they just suck. There is no consistency between shots for depth control. Skip it completely and get yourself a decent quality pneumatic one. Home Depot ...

in 4hours i'd probably get the baffle and spacer ring done. :( In a four hour period I spend one cumulative hour trying to find the pencil I put down thirty seconds before. :noob: Memory is the second thing to go. I forget what the first is. i have the same problem, so i buy large quantities of pen...

I wouldn't trust hot glue. Scrape the paint, use 1/2 CPVC and ABS or some similar plastic glue. I'd bet superglue would work for this application. I've played around with mounting these things quite a bit, and the best is cover a 1/4 of the pipe with glue along it's length, stick it in place, use m...

Re: Drill Driver combo opinions
i have an 18v RIGID impact/drill driver kit. i thought i would hardly ever use the impact, boy was i wrong. now, as a carpenter, i dont know how i ever got by without one! Bosch makes good stuff, im sure you'll be happy with it, just register the warranty if they have one. i leaned towards RIGID bec...

Re: Soldering help
i use a cheap Weller soldering pen and it works fine, just takes some time to heat up. tip: when soldering small parts/pieces of wire, i prepare all the pieces by heating up each piece on its own and getting solder on each piece first. then i can can touch the two pieces together, touch them with th...
