Re: POWERSOFT D-Cell 504 IS Module
about 700 u$s tax icluded. I just have to install it in a box an add speaker outputs. Dsp programming is done by the technician of the company that imports powersoft in argentina, based on what I need (not much really) iT would be much more expensive to handle the dsp programming myself, as I would ...

POWERSOFT D-Cell 504 IS Module
Hi Has anyone tested D-cell 504 modules from Powersoft? I ve just bought (still going trough customs) the D-cell 504 IS (4 channels, 2 x 700 watts at 8 ohms) with DSP, and I will install it in a separate wood box to make a standard amp out of it for bass guitar. The heatsinked IS module weights abou...

Re: QTS - FAITAL
ok, thanks a lot then.
I thought that if I use a higher Qts value speaker, it would sound "softer" at low frequencies (something that I can not see in WinISD)

QTS - FAITAL
Hi again from Argentina I m the happy owner of 2 x J112 and they ve been sounding great since I built them a year ago. Now I have on hand 2 x Faital 15" FH500 woofers, for wich I built 2 x ported cabinets using WinISD Pro. (about 100 liters and tuned to 45 Hz). Faital speakers give good results...

Re: WAVES MAXX BASS for bass guitar with Jacks 12
I really like the IPRs use of Peaveys DDT compression. It's an extremely musical compression. I believe this setup will not only rock but will provide you with clean articulate bass with tons of headroom. If you slap or pick heavy this setup should be very true to form.I think it's a stellar choice...

Re: WAVES MAXX BASS for bass guitar with Jacks 12
I've got basically that same rig - Alembic F1-x, XTI2000, into 2 Jack 12's with 3012HO's. Its been run pretty hard at a couple of outdoor gigs recently with no problems at all. Sounds pretty damn fine too. I agree. Xti2000 is a good match for 2 x Jack 12´s if you want nice headroom. For a live inst...

Re: WAVES MAXX BASS for bass guitar with Jacks 12
I'm thinking perhaps its just a faulty amp. 1400 watts is a good amount of headroom for the jacks with the 2512s.... Thinking that 1400 watts is enough is true. Unfortunately, it doesn t behave like a faulty amp. It only makes this strange overload noise when pushed hard for a while. I don t have a...

Re: WAVES MAXX BASS for bass guitar with Jacks 12
I m selling my Crown XTi 1000 because it is unable to power 2 Jacks 12 without going into distortion. I'm driving 4 Jack 110's with an XTi1000 with no distortion at all. I don't understand what you are hearing. What preamp are you using? I think a more appropriate question would be what drivers is ...

Re: WAVES MAXX BASS for bass guitar with Jacks 12
Ron, thanks a lot for your quick reply Tomorrow I will do a test using the maxx bass plugin with 2 jacks and will let you know how it performs. I have my rig in a big and well designed studio, so it s ok for testing. So... you say the IPR has the same high current recovery problem? I m really intere...

WAVES MAXX BASS for bass guitar with Jacks 12
Hi I m selling my Crown XTi 1000 because it is unable to power 2 Jacks 12 without going into distortion. I read a post where (i guess Ron K) explain why these I class amps could have problems reproducing the lows. Anyway, I tested it myself: the jacks can handle more lows and more SPL in general. Th...

ALEMBIC
which is a fender dual showman preamp. Very simple design (i think from RCA), passive eq, deep and real lows, smooth highs. Mids are scooped, so it s a good match for tha jacks
