Blown HT amp. Looking to replace.

About 2 month ago, my house took a direct lightning strike. Among many of the electronics that gave up their magic smoke was my Dayton SA1000 amp. It was powering a 36" THT with 2 Dayton DVC15's wired to 8Ω. What would you recommend as a replacement amp? The SA1000 was great, but it's gain stay...

Going with something reasonable this time.

Hey all! Just made some sawdust on a T18 and 2 SLAs last night. Going to be using them as a 2.1 setup for my PC. http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu90/zetanuxi/wood-1.jpg T18 panels on the left, 2 sets of SLA panels on the right. http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu90/zetanuxi/shop-1.jpg It's not...

Re: BEHRINGER iNUKE NU3000

I'll definitely be following this. I'm looking for an amp for my future T60 rig.
Everything I've looked at before has been the 40lbs ferrite core boat anchors. Something light-weight would be awesome.

Re: '98 Explorer Sound

Sorry to necro a thread here, but I thought I'd fill in the final notes of this project. When this beast was running, it was insane. It preformed flawless to and beyond stupid-loud levels. Even though it was a great success for us, I would NOT recommend anyone do this. It's an aural assault that you...

Re: '98 Explorer Sound

I won't be able to update on the project for the next 2 months as I'm leaving for Basic Military Training today.
As soon as I get back, I'll update everything about the project, as I'm sure all the kinks would be worked out by then.

Take care everyone.

Re: '98 Explorer Sound

A cap doesnt regulate voltage beyond what the battery supplies. It only stores power available from your battery and discharges much quicker than the battery can. I installed a 1.5f cap on Friday in the shopbus to feed the amps, it's overkill but it had a voltmeter on it which is nice. The problem ...

Re: '98 Explorer Sound

What was going on the first time it went into protect? I turned it on. That was it. I had it running when I was doing all the speaker wire for the doors, then I shut off the car to run the mains to the second amp, and when I turned the car back on, it always goes into protect. I was thinking about ...

Re: '98 Explorer Sound

Alright, we've got the second amp in. Door speakers mounted and all the cable for them. Great. But we ran into a major problem. The sub amp instantly goes into protect mode. I've tried everything to find the problem and still no luck. Ran it with and without RCA and speaker wire, messed with the inp...

It already does that, so if turning it goes louder...I'm scared  lol

We'll try it. We've got to do braces and run wire and such, so it'll be out anyways.

That still wouldn't help being able to see out the back. :) It's a cube, remember?

Re: '98 Explorer Sound

Awesome and unexpected turn of events. My friend purchased a new head unit, some door speakers, and a back up camera. He said he needed help wiring it all up, so he'll be down here in the morning. Now I can take some more pictures and some better video. :D So, tomorrow, there will be videos. And pro...

Re: '98 Explorer Sound

Well, the project is out of my hands now. :( My friend dropped me off back at my house last night after the fairgrounds testing and he took it back up to Tulsa. It was all really fun and I cant wait to get building again. Next step, the CD so I can build them all! Muahahahaha! Bu...
