Re: DR200 Voltage

except that no one has any input as to how much voltage a DR200 will take before it starts to distort. If 35's not enough, guess I'll demote the amp I bought to wedge duty and get more power... er, um... volts LOL As with everything, you have to consider everything......if you are going to cross it...

Re: DR200 Voltage

Are you sure about that though? You set your limiter at roughly 78watts? And, they're so loud that you've never bumped into the limiter? Don't get too concerned about watts. We've all been hammered over the head with 1000 watt speakers from manufacturers for so long that we are actually starting to...

Re: DR200 Voltage

Looking at the chart on that speaker, I'd keep the crossover at least 125khz if not higher......It dives at 200. Not sure I trust the xmax that's listed either. I wouldn't put more than 30 volts if it was me....

Re: 4 Point Club System

While I mix live sound and don't deal with the dance club circuit, I did mix a couple of times in a place where they had rear speakers facing the dance floor.....sounded awful. Fortunately, the in-house engineer was nice enough to turn 'em off while the band was playing. This venue is wanting this b...

Have you ever tried the new CD that Bill recommend, which is Eminence F151M-8?
No, I haven't built anything in awhile....in fact, I bought a couple of extra NSD2005 after Eminence quit making 'em ...... just in case.

Re: Mono/stereo Stack

On soft ground you need some pads for a foundation underneath the legs of the stands. Six 8" x 8" pieces of scrap wood would suffice. A handful of scrap 2x4's for leveling the lower legs would also be in order. You aren't building a bridge, you only need to float 50 lbs. I've been carrying the roun...

Re: Recomended 8" for DR200

The cheaper one has a stamped frame instead of a cast frame....and it's lighter. Other than that, there isn't much difference. The Delta is a little more sensitive.....

Re: Recomended 8" for DR200

Looks like those are the only two 8s that Eminence has for the DR200. There was another one in the plans a while back, but it's been discontinued.

Re: Hello from California

I am contemplating mounting two truck tubas wide for a stereo effect in the low range. Placing them over 50’ wide is no problem. I want to place the mid/high speakers approx 25’ apart so there is relatively even sound across the near patio Thanks for any ideas or suggestions Welcome to the forum......

Re: 4x OTop 12 (Delta Pro 12A + PSD2013)

Not enough fingers and toes on this forum to count the number of shows I've done with the ports of two OT12s being 4 or 5 feet away from my vocal mic......it ain't a problem. Thank you, how far the OT from the stage edge? and How wide was the stage? I'd say we did 25-30 shows on a stage that was on...

Very nice looking build.

Any reason not to use the 2512 or 3012HO since you want to save the weight?

Re: Jack 112, 212 or DR250

That's a good start. If you need some more bottom or are in a bigger place, you can always add a T39 and some processing.
