Re: monitors, not cans, cheapo behringer Truth good enough.
I have the 3030 active mons. the ones with the planar tweeters 6.75 drivers. if it is clarity and detail they are great if you need more bass extension (not chest thump) an 8 will do it. A well acoustically treated room is a must , if not maybe you'll be better with a pair of good cans sennheiser hd...

ANYA WAS PRETENDING TO BE A CONVENTIONAL LOUDSPEAKER FOR THIS DATASHEET. ANYA WAS ONLY PRETENDING, SO THIS IS ONLY A PRETEND DATASHEET. THERE IS NO DATASHEET. THERE CAN NEVER BE A DATASHEET.

Re: Musicality of subwoofers
maybe the quality of the amp also plays its part on that, i mean there is no point on the tone definition but damping, cone control and how the amp do its work of taking juice from the grid and made the most of it might make someone reach that cojncluision

Re: 208vac single phase?
a 3 phase circuit is a more efficient use of electrical power yet it would require a 1 to 3 phase converter which will cost more or less depending on its power rating (google 3 phase converters) or ask for 3 phase direct from the grid if available, none of these will be my choice, but better to pav ...

im on number 3 with a little twist set the subs lpf to 80 maybe less and the slope to 12db8 but also raising the hp filter on the subs and the slope if you can will help on boosting the low end without the risk of overexcursion

Re: amplifier power versus frequency
I don't know if i understand your question correctly, but amplifiers output varies over the freq band. The power specs that most manifacturers write are based on 1khz. The actual power at <100hz can sometimes be much lower. Example: Carvin DCM2500, rated 4ohm 900WPC @ 1K (where most mfgs take readi...

Re: amplifier power versus frequency
Any reasonable quality amplifier will be flat across the spectrum as far as power output. You might experience a little bit of power supply sag when run full bore into a load, but generally the output voltage will be constant 20Hz to 20KHz. What does change is the power spectral density requirement...

Re: amplifier power versus frequency
thanks Bill and Bas., i think it is more like what bill says, Bas i think you got how the rms figures are calculated. the main reason for my question is that i got a push talk with my nemesis in audio related matters (dont worry we are great friends) on about using full range speakers versus using s...
