Bass Cart Blog
What began as a simple solution to enabling one of my bass guitar students to perform with a marching band quickly developed into a three year quest and discovery of the joy of building speaker cabinets. I started out with a Trace Elliot 4x12 cabinet and a BBE BMax with an old QSC USA850, with a bac...

You do such nice work! Would one of these be a viable alternative to the OmniTB15 subs? Mark

Re: Omni 15 and Omni Sub
There are reasons to build it, the most obvious being ease of construction. In practice it'll be best used as a single unit or pair, after which the Titan makes much more sense. From a practical standpoint, the only reasons to build this cab as a sub are if you simply can't build a Titan or if you'...

Re: Omni 15 and Omni Sub
Do the subs and TB15 complete cabinets both have 15" drivers? How do you crossover the frequencies and connect the cabinets? MY

I run the bass cart on an inverter, and never found a filter to take out some noise, but since you can't hear it 99% of the time, haven't worried about it. Is this why you use the filter, what model do you use, and does it work? Thanks! MarkWiSounds wrote:Power inverter into a nice Panamax power filter

Re: Omni 10.5 for Bass - the cab keeps on giving!
Airfoot? I forgot about the airhead (my school computer won't show pics), but it would still work as a foot. :conf: Since you like the 10.5, perhaps your next build should be an Omni15. I just had a local bass player try out my new 10.5 (Deltalight II 2510, 12 melded piezos), Tuba24 (HL-10C...

Why can't you turn it upside down? The tweeters will be on the left, but on top. MYjoelc1319 wrote: tweeters on the bottom half Obviously there's nothing i can do about it now, but would it have been that drastically different on the top half of the cabinet?

Re: Newbie's impression of building a T48
There's a guy on TalkBass who built a bass cabinet from fiberglassed foam core, and his post must have a kazillion responses. I'm surprised if he won't be the TalkBass write-in for President.boojiewoojie wrote:building a homebuilt airplane that uses a fiberglass foam core as primary structure

T24
I don't have the plans for a T18, but I do have two Tuba24s with HL-10C drivers, and the build looks the same. I also have a Titan48 with 2 x HL-10Cs. These were for bass guitar use. In comparing the two cabinets, I preferred the Titan over the Tuba because the Titan was a lot cleaner/crisper throug...

Omni TB15
The indoor percussion ensemble just returned from Dayton, Ohio where they placed 8th. in their division of the World Percussion Championships. There were groups from all over the US, Japan, and other places I can't recall (I couldn't go). The TB15s did their job well, with no problems, delivering gr...
