Re: Jack 2x110 Airhead Bass Rig
Chris - It looks like with the wheels on the bottom cab he made it so he could latch them together and wheel them as one cab, very nice idea. Good looking build too.

Re: Hello - Long time reader, first time question asker
Yeah, for this trial just a pair of each. If they do what I think they will do then there will be many more to come. The balance has been a concern for me, which I think is why Bill recommended the OT12's and Titan 39's. I haven't ordered plans yet but from what I can tell the 250's are 22 inches wi...

Re: Hello - Long time reader, first time question asker
Sydney - Do you mean firm as in have the money in hand? That is my plan or I could end up :broke: . Thanks for the advice. David - I hoped that's what people would think. I didn't feel like I could go wrong with those choices in both small and large venues. But should I Xover passive or bi-amped? Hm...

Re: Hello - Long time reader, first time question asker
Change in plans. Those bp102's didn't look or sound right to me so I let them go. After some more reading and conversation and thought. I have decided that I am going to build a trial set of DR250's with the melded arrays and Titan 39's with the 3012lf. I want to get all of Bill's plans so I just ne...

Re: Hello - Long time reader, first time question asker
What boxes can I use the bp102 in? I have the opportunity to buy 4 of them for $150, is it worth it?

Re: Hello - Long time reader, first time question asker
Yeah, I checked there is a Macrotech 3600 and a 5000. But man they weigh a ton, and if I'm gonna really only use the first 200 watts or so per side .... I don't know its really the first time I've thought about it this in depth but I sure do like lite. Bill you think the OT12 over the DR 250 with a ...

Re: Hello - Long time reader, first time question asker
Sweet I think that is what I wanted to hear. We are using some older Crown Microtech's (can't remember the number) to run the EAW LA set up but the case easily weighs around 135 pounds. I would really like two lightweight amps, running 4 of each, that when I need to will get crazy loud but still sou...

Re: Hello - Long time reader, first time question asker
BW - Good page. Would you say the T48's are as tight as the T39's or does the T48's have a more boomy rumbly sound (I am thinking particularly in the bass guitar range), and which would you say is more punchy in the kick drum area? Also, do you use any BFM tops right now? Phatman - Do you run the 20...

Re: Hello - Long time reader, first time question asker
Ok so now I am thinking the DR250's is the way to go, except the some of the build photos people have posted do look harder - mainly the rounded ply. (As a side note many of you all are awesome woodworkers). I've read so many good reviews about the melded arrays, I would just like to know why everyo...

Re: Hello - Long time reader, first time question asker
Leland - would you say go with the DR250's then as the replacements? Is that still a 1 to 1 ratio with the T39's? And that would be bi-amped?
Preston - if you do ever get to Quincy let me know I'd like to hear your system.

Re: Hello - Long time reader, first time question asker
Ok, after reading some more and hearing all your advice, it looks like I will be going with the OT12 and T39's. I am still working this out and trying to understand, is this a one to one (tops to bottoms) system? I may still buy the DR250 and 48 plans. Anyone have any advice about whether to do pass...

Re: Hello - Long time reader, first time question asker
I can see that and I agree. Simple design, lost cost labor, lots of money to pay the exec. and do it again next year. So melded arrays, DR250's thumbs up or down for this project?

Re: Hello - Long time reader, first time question asker
Bill, Thanks, I love this. I keep reading the forum and different things and am learning a lot. I feel like I'm pretty settled on the Titan 39's. I know there is a difference but there doesn't seem to be much difference between that and the T48 for what I am doing. However, I still have two question...

Re: Scale Of a Typical Band PA
Ok, the sub arrangement thing is something that I have never seen before. (I know you could crack jokes here, but work with me). So what to you do if center floor space and corners are not an option. For example in a lot of churches I find myself in there is just enough room off to the sides to stan...
