Re: Portable 2.1 setup
I built a T18 in a skinnier width and popped in a Tang Band W6 woofer just to see how small I could go. it comes in a tad bit smaller that the TAT version of the AutoTuba. I've been running this setup for about a year and it's working great.

Re: Portable 2.1 setup
:D Thanks, I lurk on the forum every once in a while and chime in when I have the time. I have a day job that requires a lot of my time and the remaining time is spent hanging with family or working on home projects. I was out of the house for a couple weeks because of the Caldor fire but we're move...

Re: Portable 2.1 setup
Yes, these little amps are great! I use mine with a Milwaukee 18 volt battery and it will run a 2.1 system all weekend on a battery as long as I'm not cranking it. I currently use it with T18-6 and a pair of SLA pro speakers in half sizes (two drivers per cabinet) and I've found it will also run a s...

Re: Tuba 18 Queries
My experience has been very good. I built my T18's back in 2008 and I'm still running the original drivers in them and have had zero issues. As long as you take the usual precautionary measures you should be fine.

Marching Band "PIT" reinforcement
It appears marching band has changed significantly since I was in high school back in the 80's. It now seems like every high school has a bass player and keyboards in their pit. They've also added spoken word, bass drops, sound effects and a host of other stuff. This is my second year with my daught...

Re: Getting pub smoke out of gear.
For what it's worth, my little yorkie decided to tangle with a skunk in the back yard and when I let her in the house she ran under my bed and rubbed her face on the carpet. The usual concoction of hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and dawn dish soap worked on her, (gotta love mythbusters...) but for r...

Re: I need a good handheld tone generator

Thanks guys.

I need a good handheld tone generator
I'm looking for a small handheld tone generator for breaking in subs and field testing. Back in my car stereo days I used to have a Rockford OSC2. It was a great little unit that had pink noise and adjustable sine wave output but nobody seems to make one similar anymore. http://img.usaudiomart.com/u...

Re: 12v Ceremony System
Cosmic, I'm currently working on a revised version of my 12 volt system, link here: https://billfitzmaurice.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23799 I'm adding a mini DSP to the rig for EQ and you should know I'm also currently running T39's and SLA pro's off of it with no problem. I have an outdoor gig com...

Re: 12 volt mobile DJ rig 3.0...
Those look like T24's rather than T18's due to the tapered mouth of the horn. Yup... I added the additional flare on purpose to allow me some dead air space for NL4 connectors on the front since I end up pointing them at the wall all the time. On a side note I've been running the T18's for 8 years ...
