I laugh on the inside at those situations as it is so funny to me how proud of it these people are I just see it as ridiculous.

With 8 T39's in a 25' x 40' room does he really need limiters?
Limiters? No. Depends? For sure.

although 50-55 hz is the meat and potatoes of EDM, you will miss the drops that go down to 30hz or lower
True, but what other options are available to the promoter? Mackies? JBL Eons? I don't think the OP is in competition with Clair Bros. for the gig.

Re: dumb tuba assembly question

Fastening always refers to a permanent joint between parts. Jigs are not permanent. They're removed as soon as the joint between the two parts has been fastened.

The plan recommend screw is 1 1/4" and recommended flat jig is 2" . How do this work for example in the panel 1 installation. if i drill from the jig to the panel it wont reach right?
The jig is 1/2 inch thick. That leaves 3/4 inch of screw to penetrate the panels.

Re: 4 Point Club System

Client thinks "this is how well known venues have made their sound" and on some level they are correct. That's how you do it when you either don't know the right way or don't care. :wall: A gig is a gig, a buck is a buck, but if a club hired me to do an install of that sort I'd only do it if they p...

Re: Recomended 8" for DR200

I never built one with the LA 8, so I never measured one. Modeling is only accurate to perhaps 1kHz, with any enclosure type. Using data sheet SPL charts to compare drivers above roughly 300Hz only works in the same enclosure type that the datasheet charts were measured in, direct radiators. The adv...

Re: Recomended 8" for DR200

If those results weren't measured in a DR200 cab they're meaningless with respect to the DR200.

60v will toast a 4 ohm 3015LF. 42v is correct.

Re: Recomended 8" for DR200

+1 on the LA8 CNMB, if you can get it. Eminence doesn't often goof, but they did on this one, by calling it a line array driver. People not using it for a line array ignored it, so it didn't sell.
