Re: My Omni 2x10 Build

Thanks all for the kind words. Of course all I see is what I could’ve done better :/. With that in mind, here is what I would’ve done differently: _ I could not get the cane grille cloth to stretch evenly so there are ripples where the material covers the large open spaces. Thankfully the black col...

You lose practically nothing is extension going from T30/T45 to T39, but you gain a BRICK SHIT-HOUSE of SPL! Do you see the diffe...

Tee, do you have the capacity to remove the audio portion of the video, and re-dub it with just your spoken voice? YouTube is getting so bad mow, they are even blocking some free-to-use music without a lodged complaint....

Re: THT sub: sizes.

I need good extension as a priority, otherwise it's not worth doing for me. Why? The T60 will give you 25Hz, without much problem. IMVHO, outdoors, anything below 35-40Hz is a wasted chase. You are not going to get that "visceral" feeling unless you are basically sitting within 3m of the mouth of a...

Re: Tuba HT with (2) 12”s

I’m limited by space. Then build more, smaller Table Tubas. Building bigger won't fix poor placement or room modes. I have a full heritage speaker set to fit as well. That's why I created the TLAH and SLA. High sensitivity that takes up no floor space. +1,000,000! Get over the "el toro poo-poo" a/k...

Re: Jack 110 for guitar: which driver?

ok, if i was to build a Jack 110 (full range) for bass, the best driver choice is KAPPALITE 3010HO or DELTALITE II 2510 ??? Best driver for what? Highest volume? Best mid-range? Bang-for-buck? Personally, I would go with the Deltalite II 2510 for bass guitar. There is no good reason to spend the ex...

The other builds I’ve done I had the driver so I just measured the driver.
Do this. Wait for the drivers to arrive. Why take a chance for Ms. Murphy to FUBAR your build?

Re: Biggest gig yet!

With that big of a set up, maybe a spare amp?? Or 4 spares! Seriously, have a plan B, C, D, E, F, G, etc ad nauseam. Murphy will kill your chances of making a great first impression, if you let him. Think up a plan, write it down, go through your plan in your head until it's second nature. Try out ...

Bill, would the OP not get "better" results by sliding the ends together, marked in red in the drawing, and using a single plate to combine all 4 mouths? I know there are "diminishing returns", but would there not be a slight gain in SPL due to increased mouth area?

I think they are swept up in this little scam: https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/13/apple-new-iphones_n_5967626.html And, since the publication date of that article (2014), it has been proven, and Apple has admitted to, slowing down older products, on purpose. Apple's claim is to conserve batt...

Re: Amp(s) for small venue

Then you should build T39. Loaded with the 3012LF, they beat the T45 in volume (SPL) but lose a few Hertz in extension. Since this sounds like it will be a performers stage, you do not want low extension. (T30 and T45 are basically identical in response) T39W16D3012,T30W16D3012LF&width=650&height=25...

Want to win the WAF war? Build a THT LP, dress it up like a bench seat, have SWMBO sit on it. Kiss her with the most passion that you can humanly muster, while playing the cannon fire from the 1812 Overture! :hyper:  :fruit:

Re: TLAH Pro 4x8 plywood?

Hi all. Sorry if I'm asking a question that has already been answered. TLAH and plywood are common words that I can't search. I bought all of the speaker plans so I wouldn't be limited in my options for building a small venue sound system. I wanted to start with the TLAH Pro, but they are 70" tall ...

Classic rock bassists

Asking the classic rock bassists: Anyone have a correct tab/notation for “Jump Into The Fire” by Harry Nilsson? The only bass tab I can find for it has it starting in D3, and that just sounds way too high to me. I always thought that was maybe a drop-D or even a BEAD tuning. Thoughts? CfjNpgZ4C5Q DA...
