Re: Parts Express international shipping

well when they offer free shipping domestically, and not just PE, someone has to pay for that. I'm still grumpy for being charged freight (USSpeakers) of $75 each for two 8" woofers that came in one box with the USPS stamp cheerily announcing cost just $36. It seems unfair but those are their r...

How about Bostik the 'sausage like' PU adhessive ?
The crucial part is that it expands while curing, this probably doesn't.

Could be that your LEDs are running with un-rectified transformers?

Re: DR250 Build, Perth Australia

That's great I'll be able to sleep much better now.
Seriously though, it's much easier and cleaner to work with.
Another tip is to grab a nozzle with a screw cap, from the nozzle dispenser box, they do actually work.

Re: DR250 Build, Perth Australia

yeah, a whole case of it. There is nothing wrong with the Selleys product, it may even be better, not that I have used PL premium, but from what I observe here, it 'oozes' more and expands more than the 'Selleys ultimate strength' which tells me that on the broad spectrum of polyurethane products fr...

http://s26.postimg.org/43qi2av7t/IMG_1849.jpg That looks a lot like cured 'liquid' polyurethane glue, it will work but it simply is not going to be as strong as the type from the cartridge, essentially because the bubbles are bigger. get this one http://www.bunnings.com.au/selleys-390g-liquid-nails...

$10.50 a tube for Selleys Liquid Nails Platinum, available at Bunnings... convenience is king, especially when there's one on the way home from work. Not so convenient, Selleys has discontinued the Platinum variant  New label http://www.bunnings.com.au/selleys-390g-liquid-nails-waterproof-con...

Re: How about some pizza? :)

Beautifully executed Michael! The well loved tools and specific mud buckets gave it away to me that either; you or your Dad's day job was brick / blocklaying or you'd called in a pro to help you out 8) Good brickies around here can lay up to 1000 bricks a day, even in face work. They generally set ...

Re: Loctite PL Premium in Australia

Harley, have you tried Selleys Liquid Nails Platinum, . No, for two reasons. First the MSDS and the information sheets confirm it's not a 100% expanding polyuretahne adhesive and secondly because of the lousy performance of other Selleys' products that I have used, I simply wouldn't spend my hard e...

Re: Loctite PL Premium in Australia

Platinum seems to be expanding less than PL, which makes me believe that Platinum is actually stronger than PL Premium (more air bubbles -> less strength). -1. Less expansion means less penetration of the adhesive into the pores of the wood. The air bubbles occur outside of the actual joint, where ...

Re: Loctite PL Premium in Australia

Harley I don't think it's a good idea to put people off a product if you don't actually have any experience with that product. All you are doing is confusing people into looking for something else when it actually isn't necessary. It's certainly the strongest polyurethane glue readily available arou...

Same goes for Ohio. Both my wife and I have been CCW holders for quite a while now. I have my CCW due to my line of work. I have been held at gun point 2 times in the last 7 years while at work. I decided that the 2nd time was the last time that will ever happen to me. So you're going down in a bla...
