Metal corners

Can anyone reccomend a source for metal corners for the 1/2" stock we all use for these cabs? Thus far I've been using plastic stacking corners that I have to cut down on the front so that they look OK but I'd like to find metal corners for better protection. Perhaps I'm not searching correctly...

Re: Finishing cabs

Despite what the Duratex folks might say my own experience in using drywall mud for finishing prior to coating with Duratex was quite unsccessfull . With some normal handling and scraping wear the Duratex came off leaving the white mud underneath showing. Ihad to sand off moat of the cabinets (lucki...

Re: The journey begins.. 16 T60's and 12 DR280's!!

I probably missed it way back but what are the room dimensions and crowd capacity? And just to be sure, from the website, Therapy is only open 12 hrs a week? Your entry and drink prices must be pretty stiff to make all this pay off. The "Voice Of Bill" audio system, lights, fixtures, staff...

DEQing Jack 10s for on stage use

I play keyboards with a pair of Jack 10s on an amp stand 2 or 3 feet behind me in most clubs. I've been using an baseline EQ curve suggested here and stored in a Crown XTI. Not bad but no real time tweaking is possible. Since I've got a DEQ 2496 I thought I'd give that a go. Since the keys are in th...

Three Blade Shavehook for Cleaning up PL squeeze-out

I've been using this Three Blade Shavehook (well a cheaper fixed blade one from HD) for all my builds. If you're confident about your glue coverage then this will leave a pristine joint. And it's quick! http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=10621

Re: DEQ Auto EQ settings for DR250 ???

Oh for the variable loudness control found on the Yamaha receivers et al back in the 70s and 80s (didn't keep track after I got out of the business). Wonderful compensation down to a whisper!

DEQ 2496 Basics

Trying to get up to speed with a new DEQ and since the manual is not the most helpful I went hunting on Google. Anyone found any better tutorials than these which are aimed at hi-fi rather than pro audio? Anyone found useful info on the dynamics processing or other modules of the DEQ? http://forums....

Re: Otop 12 - Delta Pro 12a vs 2512

But does it really matter if you're going to EQ them with a DEQ2496 or similar? Can't those differences heard in the video be tweaked out?
My Jack 10s with the Deltalites are pretty awful sounding without eq.

1st Gig with a Pair of Jack 10s

Finally got them finished! Deltalite 2510s melded arrays (though I did just tack the grills on for the evening.) I spent the last week listening to music on them in my living room and they did fine EQ'd with a Driverack PA. I then created a curve I could live with in the Crown XTI 1000 and set up my...

Re: From DBX Indoor Auto EQ method

At what point do you folks, who are auto-eqing each venue, hit the place with 90db of pink noise? Granted you can store the results for next time but don't you get complaints from the existing clientele? Of course it can't be that much more annoying than 10 min. of "test...test.... testing 1&qu...

From DBX Indoor Auto EQ method

I used this 6 years ago to establish the baseline eq for my DR250s. It's still my preset and still seems to work in all the rooms we play.
