I have noticed that with horn subs you feel the bass way more than hear it too. Correct me if I am just hallucinating.

I have a freind with 25 years exp in pro sound and he came out and ran my system-2 t-36 4 dr250 and was amazed but said "sometings missing" in the subs. And even though he said that he wants a pair. BAD!

Do yourself a huge favor and make dr's instead of omnis. I built 4 250's, 4 wh and 2 t-36. They are equally hard, the drs just take a little more time. I have never heard the omnis but assume the drs are a lot better while the omnis are a lot better than your basic speaker in a box. As far as the ea...

I use DAP "Seal 'n' Peel" removeable silicone wheather stripping. I put it on the cab, then push the tweeter banks on it and pop some screws in to hold it together, works like a charm. As easy as regular caulk with the advantage that it peels right off. I have been using my cabs this way f...

Carpet is a lot more durable but takes more time and if you have cats it will get torn apart :x Duratex is super easy to use and touch up and looks awesome if you are a good woodworker. Duratex can get a pitchers of beer spilt on it with no ill effects, where one beer spilt on a carpeted unit might ...

I used mineral spirits when it was wet and my friggin hands still were sticky  Latex gloves are a good idea. Wiping the ooze off helps too because you will end up wiping all of the glue off only to find the next day that it expanded and oozed out of the joint anyway.

A 5x5 1/2" 9ply sheet is about $28-32 in the Milwaukee area. With my experiance buying "baltic birch" from a big chain store I would never ever do it again. Don't be too shocked if you build the cab and it starts to de-laminate :x At 45 for a 4x8 sheet though it better be some quality...

I wish my wife cared about what I build. :( At least she wants the stuff in a safe place to not get ripped off :D I know what you mean about fatigue too. I run 4 250's and 2 36's and nothing ever clips or seems to distort. You can set up 30' from the stacks mix for 4 hours and your ears don't really...

I am running the CE1000 into 4 250's and at only 225 watts per cab you should be able to get the amp to clip easily-WRONG I was afraid to turn it that loud :!: only 225 watts per cab is ungodly loud even though there is no headroom. DO yourself a favor and get 2 more 250's and 1 more 48 running if f...
