I have used several of the PG series mics without any trouble. Don't care much for the sound of them tho.
We are in the process of replacing all of our mics with the Line6 V75's
We have 5 so far (4 handhelds and one lav) and we love them.

Re: Microphone.
Leland,
Steve (guy who works for me) uses the Rode NT5's for just about everything.
He has a large assortment of mics, but almost always comes back to the Rode.

Re: Cordless Drill
Ok, so as a followup... I ended up going with two drills. (1) The Porter-Cable PC180DK-2 - 18v NiCD. I bought this one because we already have another one here along with a few other PC 18v tools. So... all of the batteries can be shared. (2) Rockwell 3RILL 12v 3-in-1 Impact driver. I bought this on...

Re: Cordless Drill
Awesome guys... you just confirmed what I was thinking. I've been looking at the Porter-Cable and the Makita. I missed the deal on the Makita drill/impact combo at Home Depot. 12v Li-Ion Combo for $100 I've also been looking at this for a secondary tool: http://www.amazon.com/Rockwell-RK2515K2-Lithi...

Re: SAC users, what control surfaces are you using?
I started out with the Behringer control surface. it works fine, but I found myself using it less and less as I got used to SAC. After about a month, I got rid of it.
My number one hesitation in going with SAC was the tactile surface issue. I don't miss it.

So sorry to hear that Harley
Amazing work on the table. I tried marquetry a few years ago... extremely difficult.

Yeah, I would have done that too if I had the room. hahaLelandCrooks wrote:So I just finished setting up my old Jet table saw with a 60" fence and 5ft outfeed and infeed tables. Ripped up my first panel. Pure pleasure. No more circular saws for me.

Re: Beginning Bass
Peavey makes some great basses, but you have to know what to look for. The Millenium BXP and the Cirrus BXP both play really well, but the electronics are junk (compared to the USA models). If you can find a Millenium or Cirrus USA model used (they don't make them anymore) they are some of the best ...
