Re: Any software developers out there?
And.. actually.. this inquiry is the longest reply the camera makes. most of the rest are just a few bytes. It could easily be a logic of "check all strings to make sure all traffic coming from this ip does not exceed 22 characters and make sure characters 21 and 22 are FF if the string reaches...

Re: Any software developers out there?
If you are tracking UDP packets, or any network packets, it all comes down how you want to 'intercept' and reroute those packets. Typical layer 4 management becomes tricky if you are doing anything other than redirection. I've done packet monitoring and management before but never 'middleman' modif...

Re: Any software developers out there?
Not as young as you think. I did two semesters of programming in college, 18 years ago. That was enough to teach me the programming is not my thing. I can make a hello world program in BASIC and C and that’s about it. I did manage to learn a bit more about networking, which is how I diagnosed this i...

Re: Any software developers out there?
It was pretty far above mine as well. It took me eight hours to figure out how to diagnose the problem and another four to diagnose it. Programming is not my thing so I Had to draw a line in the sand there.Bruce Weldy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 10:13 am Brent, that is so far above my head that I feel like Charlie Brown......

Any software developers out there?
I'm trying to fix a problem with a piece of equipment (a bug in the firmware of a PTZ camera). I need a small utility that can monitor traffic on an outgoing UDP port, wait for a specific string, monitor return data on the incoming UDP port, and alter the response string by stripping out four hex pa...

Just FYI, This thigh showed up in the dealer portal recently. None in stock yet, but it would seem they’re serious about a January ship date.

Re: Behringer Wing announcement
THANK YOU BRENT!!!! Bookmarked and saved. Now I need a 32 channel board to accommodate this. The ui24r had my attention for awhile now but i really want physical faders as well as laptop\ipad control, mixing outdoors on a screen is a royal pia with the glare from the sun. This Wing looks interestin...

Re: Behringer Wing announcement
I do a lot of work where there are 5-10 bands/acts that I never heard of before with 15 minute changeovers so typical combat audio. An act halfway through the changeover now insists on stereo micing the guitar amp, another final act on me changed over the drum kit unannounced (they were there besid...

Re: Behringer Wing announcement
Also, after further looking, it appears that there may not be dedicated FX return channels like the X 32 has. This would mean that all 8 Aux inputs could quickly become filled with effects returns. Long story short, you have a console with about the same number of mix channels as the x32 but better ...

Re: Behringer Wing announcement
It’s got a few things going for it. Lots of toys, and some nifty IO options. It’s also very complex, and things with such a level of complexity lead to more points of failure, or at least confusion. I wouldn’t call it a $30k mixer . It’s still Behringer. Its $3500 MAP at the moment. There HAS to be ...

Re: Found a typo
If we’re being picky, isn’t the language “102db / watt” technically incorrect also? That reads as 102db per watt... if so, do you get 204db with 2 watts?

Re: blown driver issues
Thermal damage comes from heat. Heat is generated by current, measured in watts. This is why drivers are advertised with a power rating in watts rather than volts. The excursion limit comes as much from the cabinet as it does from the driver. Excursion is directly correlated to voltage. This is why ...
