Re: Duratex question
Do one side, drive in finish nails at the 4 corners(leave them half way out), flip on nails, do other sides. Drive nails on another side, and you can alternate sides when recoating. Pull nails, dab a little Duratex over hole, voila!

Re: birch plywood from Home Depot
My only issues w/ Lowes birch was when rounding over the edges, or sanding the filler, the outer ply would peel and rip out big chunks. Strength was never a question, and having good plys is so the screws grab and don't break out the edges. I built 2 t39 titans with Lowes Birch, just added a lot mor...

Re: miter t-bar a little sloppy
I use an Incra 1000 and couldn't be happier. Most important thing is to fine tune your saw. Make sure the blade is absolutely parallel to the mitre slots (if it's not, nothing will come out square), then parallel the fence to the slot (just a hair wider at the far end).

Re: Mics for acapella barbershop?
+1 on the durability of the XM8500. I bought 2 3 packs when I ran the house sound at the local screamo bar. These things endured obscene spl's, spit, blood, bouncing off the ceiling and floor. These were the only pieces of equipment that didn't break in the year that I worked that room. I only lost ...

Re: Behringer EP4000
Could I hear a difference in my T39's or DR250's limited to the same voltage with a EP2500 vs a QSC PLX vs a LabGruppen?
FWIW, My, bought new, PLX 3102 (current generation) running 2 dr250s runs very hot compared to my "B" stock Crown XTi4000 running 4 T39's (both running hard). WTF?

A long winded "hats off" to BFD
I spend most of my time here, so I'm posting this here. Fell free to move it. So here it goes... I typically SE for local cover bands in your typical bar of typically no more than a capacity of about 200-250. I do have a few regular bands and sometimes I pick up a couple new groups along the way. We...

Re: Hello from Ohio!
Galen,
Welcome! I'm not super close but I am in SW Ohio about 1 hour south of Columbus. I currently run DR250's and T-39's. If you're in the area, look me up. I usually run sound 4-6 times per month.
