Re: What's an Economical Tow Rig?

I used to borrow my father's trailer and pickup. Since I don't get the kit out very often, I'll rent a cube truck for the next times. I found a place that charges me $50 for 24 hours and it's much bigger than the trailer. At that price, renting is my best option.

Re: Preferred method of cutting metal grilles

I use a large metal snips. It works great and fast enough, but you have to take precautions not to bend the sheet while you cut. I will try the jigsaw method next time.

You can use small pins, it works. Make sure you don't drop the cab until the glue is dry because the pins don't have a lot of holding power. Handle with care.

DjPhatman is right (although the Google translate is a bit confusing...)

Tu dois absoluement utiliser la colle PL Premium. Elle prend une légère expansion ce qui permet de faire des joints parfaitement étanches.

Re: cab finition (painting, polyvinyl sheet...)

As Michael said, Duratex is easy to use and give a very good result when you use their special texture roller. 1 coat as a primer (you can use a brush and a regular roller) and one texture coat with the special roller.

Re: Brad Nailer Preferences?

Some part of my nail gun are held by electrical tape: that was a quick fix before buying a new one, 2 years ago. I paid 45$ for it and it came with a long hose. It's a no-name brand made in China. It still does the job.

Re: Peavy IPR DSP amp and the MaxxBass effect

I don't know how it is integrated in the Peavey amp, but I know the Waves MaxxBass effect. I use it in my home studio setup. From Peavey's website: "The revolutionary Peavey IPR Series DSP power amplifiers are the first to integrate Waves technology, in particular MaxxBass, which uses psycho-ac...

Re: T60 Bracing Question

Not sure I want to know the answer - because its too late, but I was a little confused wrt bracing. If building a 39" 2x12 T60 do you use 3 or 4 braces(1/2" brace material). Please be 3, please be 3. tom From the plan : "The braces are spaced no more than 8 1/2 inches apart". Fo...

Re: Wagon or minivan

I've loaded 2xT39, 2 Jack 12, a 30 inches tall amp rack, 2 big boxes of cables and my 3 kids in my Grand Caravan. For a daily driver, it gulps petrol, but to bring the 5 kids at school and the occasionnal weekend gig, I really like my Dodge.
