Re: Second public run - Family Wedding DR200-Titan48

Nice! I did a prom for 250 from the balcony with a similar set-up. I was concerned about the tops being loud and clear if they were bouncing off the ceiling, so I put them downstairs and used gaff tape to keep the wires out of the way. The sub is a dual 15 T48.

Re: 10 Years Later - DR200 & T39

I posted a lot about these when I built them, so if I forget the details, they are there. I kept the tall shot of the venue/house to show the quality of jobs I can do, but you guys are professionals, so you correctly notice the gaff quality instead. Believe it or not, this gig I did with herniated d...

10 Years Later - DR200 & T39

I have been DJ'ing on the side for 10 years now, and while my business has stayed small, I have had no end of compliments and enjoyment. The speakers play no small part in that! I recently bought a nice pair of headphones, and I want to listen to music, just because the headphones sound good. It is ...

Re: Do i need a preamp?

It's hard to imagine that something isn't wrong with the set-up. That must be a huge difference if you can't make it up with the channel volume controls. Surely your phone has a volume setting you can turn up somewhere, or how could it drive a pair of headphones? Is it the connection from the phone ...

Re: LED light bar mount

That is nice. I made a simple flat piece to attach to the legs that it came with. If I did it again, I'd use angle iron for support.

Re: Hearing with their eyes

Another thought: When I step out from behind the speakers when I DJ, the overwhelming bass disappears into the mix. Perhaps that's why they think it's thin out front, compared with behind, it's balanced.

Re: Hearing with their eyes

This is sales, which seems to affect all areas of life. WE all know you're an expert, not a museum-piece, but anyone questioning you doesn't. Calling on their faith in your history may not be the best move, as it's what all the quacks I interact with use. "Great, you've been wrong for 30 years ...

Re: NYE party, 2 OT12's and 4 T30's

One comment on the melded arrays, building on my first impression of them a few months back. As I noticed before, they still have a very narrow "sweet spot" when standing dead in line with them. I'm not as impressed with the off-axis dispersion as everyone else here seems to be. Take one ...

Re: Titan 39 build

The part where they meet at the flat black looks "homemade." I say paint the inside red, the mouth gold, and let the gold reflect the red.

Re: With Six W6 You Get Eggroll, or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Wedgehorn

That looks great. Do you have any shots of the magnet mechanism? I'd love to see that and the whole stage set-up. It's hard to get an idea of how you spaced six across the stage. Is it really a sixty+ foot front?

Re: iPhone Horn

Tonight I was goofing around on someone's old banjo when I had an iPhone thrust upon me so that I could watch their musical performance. I held it against the banjo head, and it was much improved.

Nice. They must have money and be tired of dropped wireless signals.
