Re: OT12’s and T48’s
I’ll be deploying the same rig next weekend for “Sweetcorn Fest” so I’ll try a curve and see if there’s much difference. I’ve got 4 more 24” T48s in a temporary install that I’m itching to add to the pile…. I’ve also been curious about Cartoid deployment. I’m unsure if it’s even possible with horns....

Re: OT12’s and T48’s
There was a very prominent power alley from the subs. I should have probably build two V stacks separated 50ft.
Hindsight….
We were hitting 125dB Cweighted at FOH (75 feet back) during our system check.

Re: OT12’s and T48’s
Midas M32 with DL32 stagebox, Driverack, QSC CX 702 on tops, QSC 902 on subs. I have a “spare” amp rack full of various Crown, QSC, Behringer, and Peavey amps also if I need to split the load or minimize speaker cable runs.
Mostly Audix and SE mics.

Re: OT12’s and T48’s
“Rock The Dock” last night. 4 x 36” + 4 x 18” T48s and 4 x OT12 per side. Sounded pretty good…

Re: Radian's T48 slim build
I’ve built 4 T48’s at 18” with 3015s. You’ll love the build and the result! They have quickly become my go to boxes. Easy to store, transport, and deploy. Sound incredible and provide surprising output, especially in a herd!

Re: Stacking Otops?
Thank you everyone for the input! Yes, I use locking chevron corns and strap everything to the scaffold. The platform is only 3ft x 2ft which has been perfectly acceptable for the 4 high stack. I’ll have to see if there’s room to crossfire a pair. However, that also reduces the height on the line ar...

Stacking Otops?
I’m currently running 4 per side stacked on a 4ft high scaffolding and I strap everything together. I’d like to get some more height and am considering adding an 12 -18” platform/box on the scaffolding to raise the speakers up. I’ve also thought about adding a few more otops to the stack… Has anyone...

Re: T48 for outdoor use
I use T48s outside without reinforcement frequently. Clustering is important. General rule of thumb is 2x the number of tops. Simply stated, I’ve never wished for something different doing live music and most recorded tracks. These subs absolutely perform.

Re: 36” T48
These are for outside festivals. When these two are done I’ll have a total of 12: 4 x 36”, 4 x 24”, 4 x 18”.

Re: 36” T48
As info: this is Auraco ply. I obviously prefer BB, but it’s nearly unobtanium right now and about $75 a sheet here. The Auraco was not exactly cheap either but available.

Re: 36” T48
You can never own enough clamps…
Lots of filling, sanding, and finishing to go.
Second side is usually about the halfway point.

36” T48
These are big. Really big. The width of the panels requires even more care and “persuasion” to deal with warping. I don’t own any fancy tools and build in the garage. This is not my first build, and not the first max width build either. However, I think it will be my last pair of 36”s. I’ll add more...

OT12’s and T48’s
I remembered to snap a hasty picture of one of my two BFM rigs in action this past weekend. 4 x OT12 per side and 6 T48 center cluster. Here I’m using a pair of 36” and 4 18”. You can also see a pair of WH8 on stage. I can’t say enough about how good this rig sounds. I’d like to have a little more h...

Re: Full BFM system still going strong
I use a small 4 foot tall scaffolding to stack the OT12s. Black bed sheets from Walmart and a couple small spring clamps to dress it up.

Re: Full BFM system still going strong
I used Vplates a few times with T39s, but have never deployed with the T48s. It’s not often that I get the real estate! Most often use them lined up center. I had a good 60 feet separation here. Yes, I have 3 different sizes. 36” is a beast, I try to actually avoid needing to move them. 18” are grea...
