Re: Opinions on CAMCO amplifiers?

I sometimes rent the Camco Vortex6 off a local concert provider. He is a distributor and keeps trying to get me to buy some. They work well but are way overpriced for what I am doing. Some on PSW argue they are weak on the bass and not built as well as a Lab Grupen. They worked fine for me.

Re: Power Distro 3 phase questions

The generator is 240v 3 phase with a neutral, there is no need for a transformer. The 240 volts is between the hot legs, all hot legs to neutral and ground is 120v. The neutral carries the current for all three phases for 120v connections.

Re: myn's Tuba HT Build Thread

Use an oil based primer over the Bondo. I just finished scraping and repainting my boxes where the Duratex did NOT stick to the Bondo.

Re: Bondo or Spackling

I used bondo on some boxes for fill and now the paint peels in those spots. I am not sure if I mixed it wrong or what but the Duratex water based paint doesnt stick so well to the oil based bondo. After some road time with the boxes, this became worse, I have to repaint and use water based fill from...

Re: Vet Fest Success!

Excellent review. I have similar experiences with weather. My boxes are covered with Duratex. I got hit with a desert sandstorm with gusts over 60mph, then the torrential rain, about 2 inches in a straight hour of downpour. All I could do is watch, and start rolling up cables and stuff. The boxes sa...

The Home Depot "Birch" is NOT Baltic Birch, and has NO strength, you are better off with the Acuro. I have had the 3/4" Home Depot Birch break like it was made of Balsa wood, it really is not good stuff, whatever they make it out of, it's not Birch on the inside. Weak wood, full of vo...

If I were to start fresh, I would build the new dual 12" T30's, everything you need in a fairly compact size for mobile DJ or Raves (just use at least 4)

SAT LIVE

Downloaded this SAT LIVE, and started playing with it. It seems a lot easier to use than other dual FFT software I have messed with. They give a 30 day demo trail with full functionality, and offer it for $220, about 1k less than SMAART. I will be measuring, time aligning and other fun stuff to opto...

My 1st gen DR250's never seem to dissapoint, I still have not repaired the box that fell out of the truck on the highway. It shows up to work with duct tape on its butt cheek and broken plastic corners and blows everyone away. They are the best speakers on a stick in existance, and it is proven agai...
