Fair enough, I kind of figured this. I'll extend the speaker wires.
Right now the amp is sitting on top of the cab, interconnects are basic 1 meter stuff.

Question to chew on- the current install is using a Dayton plate amp, in a small box I built for it. It sits on top the cab and is not a highlight if you know what I mean. (and by that I mean it is ugly).
What effect would it have on performance to place the amp inside the opening?

Follow up- been about 6 months, and right now I'm listneing to Baloney again off Sailing to Philadelphia, theres a bass line in there thats subtle, but if it's right you just feel it in your veins. Also, Why so Serious off the dark knight soundtrack whoa right around 3:25 in, it is visceral. Man- so...

Update. Not light so we did testing in the shop (30x30) powered up using a QSC GX5 amp. Uh.... wow. The output was palpable, really enjoyed it, no internal rattles and it is tight tight tight.
