Re: BFM {24 inch wide} T48 vs EAW SB 1000z

Welcome back. How have you been? How exactly would you like to compare them? Price tag? For $4500 (us) you could have one SB1000Z or a stack of 8 T48's with cash to spare. Well I own a pair of T48s (JBL 2226h loaded) and recently a friend asked me to build (yes I can build cabinets) 10 SB1000z's fo...

Re: Compatible 12 for DR280 cabinet?

Have you tried getting PRV from Brazil? The PRV 12MB1000FT is a good looking driver. There is a dealer over here and just this morning I contacted him about the cost and availability of the 12MB1000ft, 12W800a for the DR280 and the 15SW2000 and 15W1000v2 for the T48s. He said he'd get back to me wi...

Re: Compatible 12 for DR280 cabinet?

A Dm3 is a liter. Vas doesn't matter all that much so long as it isn't grossly large. I would be wary of an unknown driver brand. Thanks for the timely response. None of the recommended speakers in the plans are available over here and due to their weight and mass they are very expensive to ship an...

Compatible 12 for DR280 cabinet?

Good day guys, All the best for 2025 and beyond! Attached are the T/S Parameters of a newly available 12 inch speaker/brand in my part of the planet. It contains specifics that fall within the recommended parameters of the DR280 plans EXCEPT for the Vas (it's also not listed in liters but in cubic d...

Hi guys. This is my profile/thread (or whatever ya call it) which for some reason I have no access to anymore. Is there any way I could regain access to it? Bill a little help over here! lol

Are your computer outputs balanced? If not, won't that drop the available voltage / available volume?
Break that down for me...

Re: Somewhat of a newbie question: 4 Cerwin Vega L36pe OR (vs) 4 BFM T48s OR T60s

I also got access to both the dbx DriveRack PA260 OR the PA+ which ever is best suitable, I should have either one in my possession mid-March. The 260 has 6 outputs.....which is overkill. The PA+ has everything you need to run what you are building. I'll assume that the 260 is a lot more expensive ...

Re: Somewhat of a newbie question: 4 Cerwin Vega L36pe OR (vs) 4 BFM T48s OR T60s

The Kappalite 3012HOs are upgrades for my Dr280s I am currently using an Eminence Kappa12a (which I owned before learning about the BFM League Of Extraordinary Cabinets). The JBLs according to Bill wasn't mentioned in the line-up mainly because of the price BUT they fall within the specs (and I got ...

UPDATE: Bought a Crown XTi4000 and used it with 1 DR280 with the Eminence Kappa 12a, (Yes I KNOW but better could not be done in the timeframe for our Carnival) and a pair of the T48s built to 28 inches wide loaded with the JBL 2226H and BOY DID THAT SYSTEM HIT HARD!! :hyper: Only obstacle I had was...

Re: Somewhat of a newbie question: 4 Cerwin Vega L36pe OR (vs) 4 BFM T48s OR T60s

The 2226 is OK. It's not recommended because the price is absurd, twice that of the 3015LF that works better and is half the weight. I know but in my case my brother got them from his job (a big name hotel) when they were updating their conference centre PA System. They were actually throwing out A...
