Re: Simplex 112. Ooops. A big deal?
... OK I had a chance to mess around with the cab and its sibbling. Both are simplexx 112 loaded with a 3012HO. Piezo tweeter temporarily installed until I get the correct tweeter and xover. I did the dancing sawdust/sand test on them, using a 25watt poweramp and an online tone generated. The first ...

Re: Simplex 112. Ooops. A big deal?
Zilch on the replies. I am surprised.
I decided to build a 2nd simplex112 since i have another 3012ho driver and most of the lumber.
My decision is to leave the 'oops' back on cab 1 alone and to compare the 2 cabs to one another when complete.

Simplex 112. Ooops. A big deal?
I have been away from the nuts and bolts of music and cab building and messing around for a while. As luck has it, I once again have access to a shop as well as a new band. OK so I pulled some gear out of storage, dusted off the BFM Simplex, OMni 10, and Jack plans, and decided to buiild a simplex. ...

I use a gibson GB440, which is an offshoot of the AMP amps, and the predecessor to the Thunderfunk amps.
I am a huge fan of them. Lots of tonal control, great tone flat, plenty power to do what needs doing.

Quick kudo's to the design- omni 10 content
I did a bar gig sat night that was JAM packed. Lot of fun for all, and the bartender said we may set a record for sales. The owner tipped us... how often does THAT happen in this economy? Anyway, I brought along my omni10.5's which are loaded with the non-recommended avatar deltalites. There were a ...

Re: 2xAutoTuba results from USAC / DB Drag Race
There is a huge weight, cost, and displacement difference between the 8" mcm and the 10" HLc. even with two of the little 8's you are still less mass and money than one 10Hlc. considering the 10" Hlc can take a gagillion megawatts, is the Exursion limited output of two mcm's even yet ...

BUMP-
I did a search for the info regarding the six pack of autotuba's... I think it was purged from the files.
Anyone recall who, how, etc and if the setup is still running, did it prove itself to be useful or was it a stunt?

Re: Stewart Amps
I've got an older Stewart rated at 50 watts per channel. I can't get even five watts out of it before it clips. Junk. +100! I a few of the little ones (older blue trim model of the one you linked) and they were rated at from 25 to 50 or 75 per channel, bridged to 150 I think. I powered my minx 110 ...

Re: Ebay Crown XTi 1000 B Stock
There is an xti1000 in my local craigslist for 250, and we are in "early negotiations" to get it down to 200. This seems like a great price, but if there were issues with the early ones, perhaps not so great afterall. I am going to check on the serial number and call crown. Bigger issue, i...
