Re: Limiter setting- Please Help!!!

Thanks for the pointer regarding the 40Hz instead of 50. Makes sense.

So with or without the speaker in the circuit, voltmeter would read same, due to Ohm's law, right? V=I*R (Less resistance, higher amps, but same voltage)

Limiter setting- Please Help!!!

I have looked but cant quite find help setting limiters. For T48s with 3015LF, Max RMS 450 Watt, but previous posts and perhaps plans even suggest 300 Watts target level. Volts * Volts/ Resistance= Power Substituting 8 Ohm, 312 Watts gives a nice, round 50 Volts for my target output. Which, incident...

has anyone tried using 'disconnects' to wire piezos together? i planned on trying it but the 1/4 inch ones i bought are actually too big.

for now i'll try soldering with the lighter gauge as recommended but it would be nice to find a crimping alternative...

Yeah I just used hotmelt. If you knock it (you'd have to knock it hard) just use more hotmelt.

anyone else tried the spray grade of the duratex yet? i found the regular stuff to go on much better, but you end up wasting a lot cos its so thick, plus it takes a long time to drip through to the gun. so next i tried the spray grade, and now it actually goes on too thin- its harder to get a nice s...

Recommended DSP?

if you you recommend just one piece of equipment for EQing and processing, including a method of testing the settings, what would it be? if the budget was limited to 300, would you say wait till i could spend more? suggestions please!

Regarding the rat fur and duratex; you will regret using rat fur after a couple of load in/outs, as it will pick up way too much hair/ crap, and you'll end up ripping it off and replacing with another coat of the duratex. i recommend skipping this and doing as bill and others have said-go with the d...
